I'm freaked out, hurt and angry about this all at the same time.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6378874388&ref=mf

I helped so many of these students. The kid who started the whole thing didn't deserve to pass my class but I didn't fail him out of compassion for his mental health (spolied brattiness) issues. Things like this make me wonder why the I bother caring about students at all. Maybe I really should listen to DH and go into curriculum development because like this makes me NOT want to deal with students ever again.

I'm so sorry that your efforts to show such a beautiful breastfeeding relationship has been used to try to humiliate you on another website. You shouldn't feel humiliated though, you should be reminded that there are people out there that are very hostile to BF, and that is one of the reasons you have put your BF relationship for the public to see. I think that is one of the risks you take when you put something on the internet, but at the same time you did not deserve this at all. I hope you are able to get Facebook to remove this group if at all possible.

Facebook USED to be such a great place, it was like an ongoing class reunion. Now, it's just been contaminated with total bs like this.

Thank you. *sniffle* I went back and read the comments and remembered that it was by and large a good thing to put that out there. It just hurts because these are kids I helped and was kind to. I hope that the girls who are grossed out by it now remember it when they have kids and think "You know, she was pretty cool and she nursed her twins. Heck, she nursed them on the Internet. I can nurse my one kid." But my heart rate went sky high when I found that out.

I know...i think i would feel the exact same way. I saw you took the video down too, i'm sorry that this kid had nothing better to do then search for you on the internet, which in itself is kinda weird...how did he find this?

The comments from the girls were the worst for me too...makes me cringe....but you never know what info they are getting from home, ya know.

You're a great mommy - they dont know better.

Did you notice that the one who admits that she is immature is showing all sorts of flesh for no good reason? I can't help but think that these Catholic school kids need some nice big posters of Mary bfing her baby taped to their desks or something.

Thanks for sharing your nursing video on the internet. I LOVE seeing mamas nurse. I don't have a video camera, but I have tons of pictures of my almost three year old and my one year old tandem nursing. Thank you for helping to normalize nursing and not sexualize it.

I hope those girls realize how amazing you are to nurse twins, at some point in their lives. And i hope the guys have wives who are lactivists, so they feel stupid for having trashed you.

Mike McGuire, who started the group, was such a spoiled brat in high school. His mother was the head of the English department and whenever he was failing, which was often, she would go and berate the teacher whose class he was failing until the teacher just bent every rule in the book to get him to pass and make her go away.

He was also a major druggie which everyone knew and no one did anything about. And he harrassed a very sweet caring, knowledable old man who taught Theology so badly the man retired early. Again, he faced no consequences because of his mother.

I always kind of wondered whether college would make him grow up since he wouldn't have his mother to run interference for him anymore. Guess not.

Anyway, I reported the group as harassment and asked that it be removed. I really liked facebook at first - I found my best friend from middle and high school who I had lost touch with through facebook. This just sucks.

Well...I guess it's fair. I never get harassed in public 'cause I radiate "don't with me". Now I get a taste of what a lot of nursing mothers have to put up with. It kind of makes me want to visit the school and nurse my toddlers in the front lobby while chatting with a nun or priest just to freak the students out. Little shits.

I think it's wonderful that you had this video for all to see. I can only hope that these kids realize one day that they are wrong. I also couldn't help it - I commented.

Looks like that group is down now. He should be banned for that. I seriously cannot fathom raising a human being to be that clueless. Im sorry for what he did to you. But man do I ever pity the lonely future that awaits him. Somebody that self centered, putting that much hatred into the world.... not good.

Go facebook. That didn't take them long.

So sad to have been raised without the sense you should treat other people with kindness and respect. A reminder to not do that to my own children.

You know, we should have virtual nursing badges, like girl scout badges. You'd get one for 6 months. One for a year. One for multiples. One for each bout of thrush or mastitis. One for having to pump at work. One for each nurse-in. And so on.

I just got my "harassed for NIP" badge. I'm going to look on that as letting me join the cool kids club.

I just went to your blog. You rock. And it's wonderful that you are sharing your experience of breastfeeding twins for other moms to learn about. There is a big perception out there that it's impossible to do. The formula companies sure perpetrate that view too.

One of the horrible things about the internet, is that we have instant access to a lot of sick minds. Young people can be so awful. And very often, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

On the other hand, we can support each other here too. It's a double edged sword.

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Well, not entirely what you were talking about, but there are virtual nursing badges! http://gynosaur.com/bf_ribbons.php
