We have a 10 month old who has just learned to climb up the stairs. We also have a 3, almost 4 year old who is really good at climbing over things. We bought a wooden gate from target that worked for a while, until our oldest tried to climb over it and he broke it. He weighs 32lbs, so I'm not really sure how he broke it, but the wood broke in half - you get what you pay for I suppose.

Anyways - I'm looking for any type of gate really that one would suggest, preferably a plastic one that wouldn't break. I've looked online for taller gates and can't really seem to find any.

Help a mama out with some reviews and suggestions!

Looks like they have banister adapter kits...if yours are like mine with railing on both side though you will need 2 kits.

$90 for the gate and $20 each for the adapter kits. Why do they make it so expensive to keep our children safe? Sigh...
