my roommate went to a costume party last night dressed as Mr sulu's boyfriend. It was very very cute.
He looks incredibly young for 68. Wowzers!
It doesn't sound like he's been "hiding" his sexuality for all this time. It just sounds like this is the first tiome he's publicly talking about it. There's a big difference there.
Jannann, it's news because he is a public figure joining the chorus of voices calling for equal rights and an end to discrimination based on sexual orientation. These are important human issues and need to be addressed openly. Because it's in the public eye, via the media, it's news.
