I want to start collecting info on homebirth midwives as dh and I ttc, so that I can find a care provider quickly when we move to DC next month. Not sure if we're actually going to do a homebirth, but I think dh is starting to open up to the possibility. Did you have a homebirth midwife that you loved? If so, please pass along her info!

BTW, preferences (but not necessities) are:
1) a CNM
2) a midwife who does most appointments in the home

I just posted in another thread on this forum about my experience, but I loved BirthCare - all CNM's, but no appt's in the home. I had a homebirth with them 3 months ago and can't say anything but wonderful words. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

hi,
i gave birth at home in a tub provided by my mid-wife--an incredible woman who only does home births. all appts in home. she's in baltimore but travels (ie. up to amish country) alot. she is very cool and calm. capable. experienced. just wonderful. i'd almost have another just to use her again. she's not CNM. you can email me if you want her info.
