I don't. If I were in labor in a car I'd want to hurry.

I know they refused the ambulance because it would have taken them to the closest hospital and I read in the comments that they actually passed 5 hospitals in there trip to the one that they wanted to go to so obviously it wasn't an emergency in there minds. |
If she were bleeding they probably would have stopped at the first hospital. Though the mainstream seems to generally see imminent birth as an Emergecy, I don't think it is viewed the same as imminent death. They were in a hurry because they either though birth was close at hand and they wanted her doctor with her medical records; if they thought her life was in danger they probably would have stopped at the first one. Though perhaps they didn't know all five were there. Some locations have several hospitals in a concentrated area. I used to have to drive downtown to go to the Dr, and I past at least 3 hospitals (private I think) to get to mine, with in a block of each other.

I personally dont believe that her contractions were 3 minutes apart when she was pulled over because the baby was born 5 hours later after they finally arrived at the hospital. |
Come on, there are so many explanations for this; maybe they don't understand how to time contractions, maybe they never heard of emotional sign posts, maybe her contractions were that frequent but not productive, maybe her contractions were 3min apart but slowed once she was at the hospital, maybe...
