We had a father's day baby! Rowan James was born at 7:15 AM on father's day. It was a pretty short and intense labor, but I pushed him out in just a few pushes (as opposed to the marathon 3 hour long pushing sessions with my other two dc) so I was sooooo happy! Anyhow, for being supposedly 41+ weeks he was a mere 7 lbs. 9 oz; in fact, the MW and nurse thought he looked more like a 39 weeker. So, who knows, my dates might have been off.

I'll try to update with some pictures soon. Meanwhile, good luck to those of you who are still waiting!

Wonderful news! Keeping the pushing stage down to a minimum really is a blessing, isn't it? Other parts of my short labor were maybe a little too intense, but I was happy with the brevity of my pushing experience, too.

thank you all so much, and yes, dd has told me MANY times now that she wishes she was Rowan's mom so she could nurse him!

That is so sweet! Congrats on your new little one, he is a cutie. What a great father's day present!
