So, this morning one of my clients tracks in Peacock Poop into my office. (yes, you read that correctly, and no, I don't work in a zoo). Well, the smell was killing me, so I called someone to come and clean my office and they cleaned it and put down some heavy chemicals afterwards. I'm guessing this is suppose to be an air freshener, but I smells like bathroom cleaner. So, now I am sitting here in my office with a headache from the smell. I have opened the door to the outside and have the fan going.<br>
Do you think I am ok? Is it just the smell that is making my head hurt or could the baby be in danger. I am really careful when I am at home and don't use any strong chemical cleaners so this smell is killing me here.<br>
Just need some advice.<br>

I think your fine, but I could certainly understand and relate to you. Can you open some windows? Smells really bother me too! One of my pregnancies I stopped vanpooling to work because I could not stand the smell of one of the people on it. Don't know if it was her natural smell of a mixture of a perfume of what. But I had make some excuse up and started driving and paying extra for gas!<br><br>
I also was cleaning with clorox in a closed bathroom in the beginning of this pregnancy and was very worried, (didn't know I was pregnant) but I think I'm okay too.

I worry about things like that too. Exposure to chemicals really freaks me out. I read recently that phtalates (the chemicals in artificial air fresheners) have been linked to birth defects. Yikes! I'm really not trying to scare you, sorry. I think you would have to be exposed a LOT for it to really do any harm. I'm sure you're ok. I've been around chlorine bleach lately. Yuck.

Yikes is right! I use those little plug in type of air fresheners around my house. I love them. I hope they're ok to use during pregnancy!
