Has anyone's baby gone from LESS to MORE pooping?
DS (5 months) has gone anywhere from 5 to as long as 9 days without pooping, he's been this way his entire life, literally from birth. He's an extremely happy, healthy baby so I chalked it up to normal. (His doc said the same thing when I asked her about it at a checkup) Always soft, always EBF colored poo. Just one huge motherload of it about once a week.
Until this week. This week, he has pooped daily, today he even pooped *twice.*
I've heard of babies going from pooping *all the time* to being more like my babe....
Or is this because he's got a touch of a cold and maybe is swallowing mucousy junk? (one of the poops looked like it had some in it.) (he's got a little cough going on, other than the couple of times a day he coughs a few times though, he is fine.)
He has absolutely no other signs of allergy to anything, behavior and everything is the same as always. Extremely happy. And I've had an allergy-baby before, he had miserable colicy crying till I figured out what it was. (It was milk, which I do not drink now.) Plus I mean he is 5 months old I would think an allergy would've shown long before now.
