As I'm choking back a brewer's yeast milk shake (yuck), I am wondering if I need to do this my entire bf'ing experience? Once my supply is established, do I have to keep up with the herbs and yeast? I plan on staying on Motilium for as long as I can because I had major supply issues at birth, but I am hoping I don't have to keep taking the herbs and yeast and all the extra suppliments I am taking to build up my supply.

I never finished all the Motilium I ended up buying. I wanted to get off all the drugs and supplements as soon as possible. In my experience, eventually you will get to the point that you just kinda have to have faith and trust that your baby is getting what s/he needs, and have faith in your body to do what it was made to. It is hard to get to that point and just let go, but it will happen ever so gradually. If I ever had questions about my supply after I had relactated and established my supply, I would eat oatmeal in the morning, make sure I was getting my water, and focus on nutrition, rest, etc.
No hurry, no rush, just keep focusing on where you are at right now in the process and be pleased with how well you are doing already! Praise your baby for doing so well at breastfeeding.

Generally, once your milk supply is well established it then works on supply and demand. As long as baby is taking, it should continue supplying. So, I would think no, that you wouldn't need to continue everything you're doing now. I will occasionally drink some mother's milk tea but hopefully that's all you'll need to do, and that's fun and relaxing.

Hope everything is going well.
