okay, i've run my oc diapers on hot about 800 times it seems (more like 10). i see very small bubbles if i stop the agitation but they are gone after about 3-4 minutes. so in your opinion, does this mean there is no more soap or do i need to keep doing this? (i'm feeling very wasteful with all this water usage right now and really hope you say stop.)

pick up the suds, if they go away on your hand right away it's not soap. I have founf that biokleen powder doesn't foam like liquids. Ever since I switched to that I NEVER have to do a hundred washes anymore!!

sounds like agitation bubbles so I'd say stop. If I have detergent left I see a ring of white around the edges even after a few minutes.

I feel your pain. I found that the suds were coming from my machine instead of the diapers. So-o-o-o I learned to strip my machine by running an empty hot tub of water with 2 cups of vinegar before I strip dipes. This decreased the stripping process tremendously. It is amazing how much detergent builds up in your machine.

oh molly, never thought of that. i'll do that too just to make sure. i think we are done stripping. tonight will be the true test. if not, back to hot water they go!
