I'm currently taking an SSRI type and wondered if it could be preventing me from getting pregnant? Can't find much online, anyone know anything?

I can only speak from experience but I've been on Wellbutrin XL for about 4 years and in that time I've had 2 kids and gotten pregnant quickly with both. I don't have any scietific evidence, just thought I'd share my personal experience.

I don't think SSRIs can cause fertility problems, but depending on the medication class, it may not be safe for pregnancy. To find out more info, this is a great website:
www.safefetus.com. You can search for your medication and see others.

I agree with MrsD

I was put on medication last year... when I told my dr that we would be TTC she told me to inform her ASAP when conception happens so we can go over our options for medication. No problems with the getting pregnant, but the effect to the baby being either bad or unknown is enough to want to get on safer meds before 8 weeks.
