I have several brands of antibiotic medication left over from DD's recent bouts of illness. They over prescribed for the time that we were to take the medications, and I have a lot that needs to be disposed of. How do I go about that? I hate to pour it down the drain. I hate to pour it on the ground, but what is the best option. Would it be less likely to effect anything if I pour it on the ground. That is what I am thinking right now. We live off-grid, so I'm not sure what my best options are.

Yes, I don't want to do either of those things. I know that's bad. I've kept them this long, so I'll keep them until the next trip to town.
