Right now? No. My first was a 43.5 weeker though, and I just kept clinging to the idea that he knew what he was doing. (he turned vertex very late, at nearly 38 weeks, after we didn't believe that would happen either.) You can do this, you just need to stay calm and patient. Neither you nor your baby are abnormal.

We went 43wks1day. I felt pretty okay with it mentally until other peoples issues with me going so "late" started to stress me out. I let them get to me far too much...started thinking about induction etc. In retrospect, I am very glad I didn't rush things. DD knew when she wanted to be born. Apparently it was quite important to her that she be born in 2005. :LOL

Hang in there, mama! You can do this! It won't be forever.

My MIL was a month late giving birth to my DH. He was born a whopping 5 lbs. 11 oz. (as was I!). Thank goodness he didn't come on his birthday, he needed that extra time to grow! She was however never happy that this happened in August - she was due August 1 and had DH August 31, and August in Pennsylvania (or most places, probably) is not the time to be 10 months pg!

You are not alone! I went to 42wks3days with my 2nd, and she came after a dose of castor oil. I really wonder how long she would have hung out in utero.... I had a wonderful labor/birth, but of course, in retrospect, wish I had waited for her to come on her own time. But I was under alot of pressure (from all sides, midwives "having" to xfer care at 43 wks, terrible biophysical profile experience, etc.).

I know there is another website that has some wonderful 10 month mamma stories, but I can't remember what it was... anyone? I know it made me feel alot more comforted, and much more special, rather than freakish.

I feel for you, I wish due dates would simply be thrown out altogether.

It was posted on the May Pregnancy Board this evening that the original poster of this thread baby died yesterday and was delivered by cesarean section stillborn. I just thought I would let everyone know this very sad news. I am sure this momma will need lots of support when she returns to her MDC family.
