I know, it sounds horrible, but here is the story... My DD is 16 months old and LOVES to nurse! In december i had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. my doula told me that the next time i get pregnant i probably shouldn't nurse at the same time because i am too skinny (105 pounds). she said that maybe my body can't support two growing babies and myself. (fyi: the miscarriage was probably from low progesterone, not nursing). since then i have been on progesterone and just found out i am pg (6 weeks) and unfortunately, i am feeling some crampy feelings again and i think i may lose this one as well. so, my question is, is there a super gentle way to help my dd wean? she has a cold right now and is teething, so she wants to nurse, literally every 5 minutes. i would like to see her through all this while breastfeeding, but i also can't stop feeling guilty that this might be the reason i am feeling cramps. thanks.
