I LOVE reading books about climbing and other adventures. I've read a bunch, but I'm always looking for other suggestions.

What adventure books do you like? Non-fiction, please!

OOoooh girl. Am I ever!

Here's a list of some books you might like:

Into the Wild---Jon Krakauer
The Epic of Mount Everest---Sir Francis Younghusband
Eiger Dreams---Jon Krakauer
Into Thin Air---Jon Krakauer
Fearless on Everest---Julie Summers (relative of Sandy Irvine)
Mountain Men---Mick Conefrey & Tim Jordan
Seven Years in Tibet---Heinrich Harrer

other adventure-type books:

Trial by Ice---Richard Perry
Wreck of the Medusa---Alexander McKee

Those are the ones on my bookshelf right now. I'd love more suggestions. I love books about man vs. nature and am fascinated by what makes a person want to push themselves almost to death in some physical feat or discovery.

I've read so many others, too, but the ones above I own. I'm really looking forward to reading Ed Viesturs newest, No Shortcuts to the Top. Ooooh I've been wanting to read Boukreev's accounts for a while. I saw Touching the Void and I agree, it was a good movie! I still remember the "Boney M" lament! LOL That guy had such a will to live.

Thanks for the list! That Mountain Men book is a companion to a BBC special, which I haven't been able to find on DVD yet...
