I've been noticing all of these diaper parties going around but nothing near me. Seems to be alot of CD'ing going on out west, I guess I live in the wrong part of the country. :LOL

So anyone in Georgia, or even better the Atlanta area? I don't know anyone who CD'ers IRL.

Uh, doesn't Heather Sanders live in GA? But, I still think she's a couple of hours from you. Well, I guess if your sister hadn't have quit cd'ing, you would at least know her, well of course you'd know her you two being sisters and all. Ok, I'm not making any sense. I'll shut up now.

:LOL I tried to convert her again into CD'ing but she's just not having it. And she's got the money to get all of the good stuff too! I keep trying though.

She's so sweet and she gave me like 8 medium jb's. I was going to buy them and everything from her and she wound up mailing them to me for free and mailed them priority even. Those mediums haven't gotten their use with Audrey, I use them in the small fb's and that's the workhorse for Audrey.

Ok, don't get mad that she didn't give them to you. :LOL

I remember her telling me that, she is a sweetie. Don't worry, we don't use FB's anymore and she knows that.

Hey, if you sit for her you can always CD her kids right?
Actually, I've watched Peyton quite a few times since she moved down here and I watch her again next week. Ssshh! Don't tell Jenn but I had Peyton in an SOS and SP wool. But Pey is potty training now so I'll have to have fun with little Lindsey

Ok that's hilarious. I'm so jealous of Jenn and Mel, their girls both the same age as G all ready doing the stuff on the potty. G's been telling me since she was 14/15 months old that she poo'd or she was about to poo, and now that's she's wet, and will request a diaper change but no luck with the potty. But, she sure is interested in what I do on the potty. *sigh*

That's not too far from me, but then again with Atlanta traffic it can take you 3 hours just to get downtown

We're driving up to Austell (Six Flags) on Saturday and staying for a couple of weeks.

Dh and I are going to look at moving to Atlanta while we're up there. We got a blow from our ILs today; they are our landlords, and they just told us today that they're discussing raising our rent by $400/month. Dh's hours are going to be cut next school year at work, and we just can't swing it. He can make more teaching up in GA, and I'm pretty sure I can find a job there, too. Plus almost all my family is there. I grew up there, and it's home in my heart.

Ok, I'm not in GA, but I'm from GA, does that help?
I have noticed that your are in Loganville, ChristyH (one of my good friends lives in Monroe)! I am from Lilburn and last lived in Lawrenceville. My folks are still near Atlanta and I visit them a lot.
Maureen, from Baby Naturale, lives in Crawford or Crawfordsville or something like that (outside of Athens a bit). She's nice!

OK, I'm not from Georgia (not many of us Atlanta people are) but I DO live in Atlanta. Downtown Atlanta even, by the zoo.

There was a CD party about a year ago (maybe 18 months ago) but I think it was culled from Diaper Pin, not MDC. I had some CDs for sale at a consignment sale at the time and one of the moms saw them and called me.

Heather Sanders is in Savannah or environs I think (maybe even Augusta). I know not Atlanta.

I would be interested in having a CD party, but you are right the traffic can be a bear. I had a CD mom from Marietta over about a month ago. If youlive east of Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Decatur, maybe even Lilburn or Snellville, there is a AP type group that meets weekly ( I think, it just doesn't fit into our schedule). Will look for their web site, PM me if you are interested. I know the moderator (?) is due with #2 in August (I think) so it may have slowed down.

Just let me know if you want to party, I'm always up for it!

i started my interest when my daughters were pregnant. just kinda explored things a bit. and then my daughters got me really interested in the whole cd world. i started to share it with my students and then soon became someone who sold fuzzibunz and kissaluvs and prorap covers. when i first started as a labor doula and childbirth educator none of my students were cloth diapering. now i have about half of my clients and students cloth diapering.

it is really almost "cult" like thought once you get started doing it- the varieties, the styles, the way you either use a wet pail or dry one, those who use pocket styles and those who use prefolds, those with wool covers and those who use synthetic, those who use cloth wipes or not... it is really quite fun!

i welcome you to come by - without any pressure to buy- and see the different styles i carry. i have not heard of any cd parties- but i love talking to moms about what they found to be fun for them. there are so many different types of baby bums and what works for one mom may not work for another. what one mom loves another hates. it is really amusing.

georgiadoula - Where in Lawrenceville do you live? I'm technically in Snellville although we have a Loganville mailbox. It's nice to know there is someone else so close, my sister CD's too and she is in Lawrenceville.

Carly - we really should try to get a CD party together, I know of another mama in Grayson so I'm sure we could do one around here. BTW, have you been on 78 lately and passed by Maxie Price - he's big time now! :LOL His new building is huge.

I did cloth diaper. My kids are so old now I wouldn't be able to tell you where to start. I had a diaper service the first twelve weeks and then moved to doing them myself. I bought flats from the Target and plain Gerber diaper covers. They worked just fine with the velcro tabs.

I loved CD. No rashes and so cheap.
