I need some medical advice! I whacked my elbow on the door frame a few weeks ago. It has been aching dully since then. Especially at night when I sleep with it crooked for hours. WHen I stretch it in the morning it makes me wince. I just started a workout routine (P90X) last week with lots of pushups and pull ups and this morning I can barely move it without it hurting. I DO have full ROM, but it hurts. it hurts the most to squeeze a fist or open a jar... or something like that. and it is IN the elbow, not the bicep or tricep. Should I go to the doc and get a x-ray? or is it mostly likely a tendon, muscular thing that will go away with rest?

After two weeks and it's still painful? I'd be getting it checked.<br><br>
It could be muscular thing that needs treatment rather then rest, could be joint related....

I agree with pp....get it checked. You could have also just really upset a nerve and by not resting it, its not getting better.<br><br>
Good luck. Its been going on long enough that I would check it.<br><br>
