Wondering if there are any other Moms who are pumping long term for babes that can't breastfeed- How long - and would this be the correct forum?- looking for some support and hints to keep milk flowing

I think there are some exclusive pumpers (EPers) here, but definitely check out <a href="http://www.pumpingmoms.org" target="_blank">www.pumpingmoms.org</a> for many moms who are pumping. There is also a yahoo group for moms who exclusively pump, but I'm not sure how to find that. I found the pumpingmoms to be a great help for things like supply even for myself pumping part-time. I'm no longer pumping, but I pumped part time for about 16 months for my daughter. It can be exhausting, but worthwhile. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> And I have a lifetime of funny pumping stories now as an added bonus. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1"> Good luck to you!

I have been pumping since ds was 3 weeks old. He self-weaned at 3 months and he is now 11 months old. It can be trying to continue to pump every day, but I do feel that it has been worth it. I have cut back to twice a day this week and plan to quit in a month or so. I have mixed feelings about stopping...
