Did you notice the pregnancies getting more difficult for your body after say the 3rd one? I'm pregnant with our 4th(not counting 2 miscarriages) and man I feel old(just turned 30 in June, so I'm not THAT old!!). I have really been having a lot of pain/discomfort on the sides of my uterus(round ligaments?) and I'm wondering if it's just to be expected after this many children? Anything I can do to help with the pain?

It's especially painful if I squat down for a bit and then get up(which I have to do because of taking care of our chickens and such, feeding, cleaning waterers, etc).

Thanks!! Sara

My last pregnancy, which I was 30 during (I had Ivan the day before I turned 31), was very difficult on me. But, I had some strange goings-on with hyperemesis. I also noticed that I was more tired, my hips ached more, etc. I do think it was my age, ahem, as well as having babies relatively close together. (2 years apart).

I spent a lot of time in the shower and bath. Swimming was great too.

Hope that helps!

Umm... well my last two pregnancies have been really easy. This one seems to cause more aches but if I go and swim or get a kineselogist appointment.. it seems to be s if it never happened. I am on my 4th pregnancy/baby and I am 32 weeks along... and I can say that I run up the stairs thinking, "Wow I don't even feel pregnant"....lol... then I reach the top of the stairs and huff and puff like a fat kid on the playground, lol.
I think that each pregnancy has came with it's own special little bag o' crap.. but I think if you weigh each "bag" they are all about the same amount of inconvience.
I'm on baby #5... my first, a son, died one day after birth.. the other three are girls.. and this new baby is a girl due in September.

For some odd reason, this pregnancy has been the easiest... so far. Keeping my fingers crossed. My pregnancy before this however was tough - summer and hot and swollen everything.

hang in there

Hello.. #4 was not too bad for me, but this pregnancy has been pretty miserable. LOTS of round ligament pains... various aches and pains. Try to take a calcium/magnesium supplement, as that can help with the round ligament stuff.

This is only my third but I am definitely feeling it. I feel old and worn out too (I also just turned 30 in June). My body aches a lot. I am only 24 weeks pregnant but I feel like I did when I was further long with my other two. I'm pretty darn uncomfortable.

I am on my 4th & this has been my best pregnancy ever (fingers crossed). I think it has definitely helped me that I have stayed active throughout this pregnancy. I also have found that it helps for me to take some time during the week just for myself to relax & unwind from all the stresses even if it means I need to wait until my kids are in bed to go out with a friend for a milkshake at 10pm. It is well worth it!

This is my 4th and I'm 34. This is, by far, the MOST difficult pregnancy for me. I feel every ache and pain, my joints hurt, I'm just worn out. I visit my chiro almost weekly to help me through. Ligament pains are brutal this time around. I no longer feel the glowy, lovely belly thing. I'm grumpy, annoyed and just a general PITA. BUT-after 3 lovely girls we are having a boy!!! I really couldn't be more thrilled. I'm very blessede and I try to take time to sit with that everyday.

Well this is #7 for me and I am only 7 weeks but so far my worst pg with #6. I was so sick, everything hurt sooooo bad. #5 was soooo easy. Which is I think part of why #6 was so bad I wasn't expecting it to be so hard.

Pgs with males are harder than with females. And for me thats been true except #5 - a boy.

I am on my 4th and am 30. The last one was really hard for me and this one has just been strange. It's definitely been harder, too. For me, they get harder with each one.

I am only on baby number 2, but wanted to tell you that my midwife told me that each pregnancy typically gets WORSE. I was telling her that I was already having round ligament pain (at 6 weeks!!!), and she said that's how it is when you have already had a child - you get aches and pains earlier and worse than before.

This is my fourth pregnancy. Some things are better and some are worse. I've had more pain in the hips and stronger BH contractions this time around. I've also been MUCH more tired. I don't know if this is due to being the fourth, or being 37 years old. The good side is I've had NO swelling at all. I'm four days from my due date and still wearing my wedding rings and they fit the same as before I got pregnant. This is the first time that's ever happened. People tell me it's because this one's a boy and the other three are girls, but I don't know if that's true or BS.

Here again this is only my second but the pain is alot worse this time. Last time I had terrible morning sickness almost the whole pg but no cramping, round liagament pain, just hip pain the last month. This time I really haven't had any morning sickness but the stretching and liagament pain is terrible. My hip is doing the same thing it did last time only earlier and I've had to get shots twice to stop the contrax. I am ready for this baby to get here. I hope it goes better next time!

I'm PG with #6, I'll turn 30 this fall. I'm just a lot more tired, otherwise they've all been the same (no morning sickness ever, lucky me!). The backache tends to get worse earlier, and when I wake up in the morning, I have lots of pelvic pain, but it goes away once I move around a bit. If it gets as bad as it has in previous ones (#3 was the worst), I'll be seeing a chiropractor at some point.

This is my 4th baby and I have noticed that I feel more aches and pains with each baby. I think some of this is because they start sooner. I also wonder if it's because they're getting spaced closer together each time.
