I'm sorry, I know this belongs in the Tribal section, but it doesn't seem to get much action. I'm new to the area and looking for mommies with similar parenting styles as mine. My daughter is 7 month and we're breastfeeding and cosleeping.

I'm not in New Bern, but my middle sister was born there, so your post caught my eye!

Welcome to MDC! You should definitely check out LLL, and see if any of these Attachment Parenting groups are close to you. Are there any natural food stores near you? They often have bulletin boards, and you could always post an "ISO like-minded moms" notice. Finally, do post in the North Carolina tribal forum as well - the tribes can be slow, but people eventually see the posts.

Check the above link for a LLL meeting near New Bern; you're sure to find like-minded moms at LLL. If you're ever near Raleigh, we have two wonderful LLL groups and a monthly Attachment Parenting group. Visitors are always welcome! You can also "stalk" local parks, your neighborhood, etc. for moms wearing slings or nursing shirts. And a local homeschool group (though you're years away from "school") might lead you in the right direction.
