I haven't posted on update threads in a while but I miss all you guys. :)<br><br>
Xan learned to walk last weekend! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana"><br>
Two days before he'd taken some steps just between DH and I and then a friend came over with her almost two-year-old and he just got right up after her. It was like someone turned on his walking switch, and he just went straight to walking 100% of the time. It's nuts!<br>
I finally was able to take a movie (we got a cellphone with movie taking ability, so they aren't huge, or fantastic, but they're something!) and you can see it here: <a href="http://www.natural-forces.com/xanmovies.htm" target="_blank">Xan's movies</a>.<br><br>
Now he's running everywhere and DD is <i>so incredibly proud of him</i>. She points it out all the time, and tells strangers, "He can walk! Look at him walk!". <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I think many have migrated over to the toddler forum, since *gulp* I guess they really are now. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/yikes2.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="yikes">: Although I don't think I've seen a Dec thread yet, we really aren't a very chatty group. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/innocent.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shy"><br><br>
Anyway Babs, I haven't seen you in quite a while! Glad to hear everything is going well, and Xan is so big now. Gabrielle just started walking right before Thanksgiving so she is officially in running mode as well.<br><br><br>
Today we made a trip to Target, DD1 begged for one of the big carts, so they were riding around in it, we stop to look at something, DD2 climbed out, and took off running in the aisles. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> I just look down and she was gone, finally found the little imp hiding in a clothing rack. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">

Hello mamas! DS was born end of Sept so I might as well be a Oct mama. Rhys started walking right around his birthday, just like DS1 did. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/dizzy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Dizzy">:<br><br>
Anyone have experience with small kids? Rhys isn't on the growth chart, so he has been labled failure to thrive <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banghead.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banghead"> I know that he is fine & healthy. DS1 was small but we didn't do well baby visits from 8 mo to almost 4 yrs so he never got the chance to be labled <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> Plus MIL tells me all the time that DH was little like them too. I am not worried in that respect, it is just frustrating. Then... ped & a ped cardiologist say Rhys' heart sounds off so we are waiting (3 weeks now <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/splat.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="splat">) for insurance to ok an echocardiogram to check for a hole in his heart. The drs are convinced that this is why he is small. I am slightly worried about the possible hole, but the whole thing just irratates me more than anything.
