I've had this dream a couple of times now since being PG probably 2-3 times.

I am in my postpartum room (room I recovered with Jake in, baby is being born in different hospital) anyway... I'm nursing a baby and the nurse walks in with a baby in the plastic clear bucket thingy they wheel them around in. And says since your nursing so well can you nurse this one also? and turns around a leaves. So I'm like what the? and I get up and look at baby and the tag on his bucket says Beau, Boy, Breastmilk Only. I am like OK how am I going to nurse this one when Im nursing mine? He starts to fuss so I pick him up and put sleeping baby I was nursing in the bucket. The baby is so tightly swaddled he could barely breathe so I unwrap him and he has clubed feet and his fingers are fused together. So I swaddle him again and try to latch him on but he keeps turning his head away so I call the nurse and nobody answers. So I walk out to the hallway and I hear people in their rooms but all the doors are closed and there isn't a nurse in sight. SO I go get my baby and pick him up and put Beau back in his bucket and he starts fussing so I start walking down the hallways saying its ok Beau, its ok Beau were gonna find your mama so you can eat, and I'm walking all over asking everyone if they have a baby named Beau. Some times it changes and I'm carrying both babies and trying to soothe Beau and nurse the other one. The baby I started out nursing seems like is mine and doesn't ever have a name. Everytime I show Beau to a person they sort of cringe and say no or shake thier head.

So it you are into dreams and know what this one means fire away...
If your having wierd PG dreams or have the same dream over and over share.

This baby doesn't have a name yet if that helps. Well Dh wants Logan but I don't.

My dh keeps having a recurrent dream where I reach down and pull out the baby because I am tired of being pregnant

he had the dream again last night :

he says that after I get the baby out he calmly sits there and tells me over and over how beautiful our baby is

I would LOVE to have a UC or homebirth but he has always been against it (for many reasons all his own) - do you think this means he is open to my desires or simply that he knows I am worn out physically and feeling very ready to meet this little guy of ours

That sounds like a sad dream. Maybe Beau is your baby too, but the manifestation of your fears and worries. Maybe that's what you should name him. It's odd, you know Beau means beautiful in French, right?

Last night I had a dream that my new boyfriend was a terrorist so I turned him in to the Feds. He wasn't a terrorist of course, so I ended up looking like a real jerk. It's the first time I've had this dream.

I haven't had the same dream, but the same theme three dreams in the past two weeks! My dreams are "penis dreams"- in that in each of them they show me the baby is a boy. I don't know what it is, but all the intuitive people around me, including my son, say girl. In the first dream I symbolically reached inside my uterus and felt for (and felt) a penis. The second one, my child was born and my husaband looked at him and said, "It's a girl!" and I said, "Um, no, that's a penis! It's a boy!" And the third, my cousin's yound daughter was sitting in the back seat of my car and she had a huge (albeit circumcised) penis! So based on my dreams, I'm really curious to find out (when the baby's born) what the sex is!

I had a dream sort of like that last time - I dreamed I had a hospital birth and they sent the baby home with me in one of those cardboard boxes they send puppies or kittens home from the pet store in. Mom and I are looking at the baby, and it is a Downs baby. I remember looking at the baby and saying "you are very sweet, but you are not my baby." Mom looks at the baby and says "no, that is not your baby." We look at the box the baby came in and see that it has someone else's name on it. We take it back to the hospital and demand our baby. Turns out some rich people had paid them to switch the babies because they didn't want it. And I just kept saying "this baby is very sweet, but I want *my* baby." To me it wasn't about fear, but an expression of an aspect of my personality that wishes to mother alot of children (and animals) but fears/recognizes I'm unable to care for more than my share.

I had a dream the other night that I had 4 children - 3 of them babies, and people were asking me their ages and birthdates, and my mind was so confused I couldn't remember. I hope that doesn't mean I'm carrying twins!!

My most recent recurring dream is that I'm hiding in the bathroom during labor (I've planned a HB) and the MW and DH and Annabelle are in the living room.

I squat on the floor over the bathroom rug for a while, push then catch. I think I tell them that I'm peeing or something.

I told the MW on Friday about the dream and haven't had it since. It usually works that way for me, once I discuss it the dream doesn't recur.

I had an excellent medical intuitive tell me I was having a boy, and it is pretty clear on the u/s that she is a girl. However, I believe it means she has a lot of "masculine" energy - maybe she will be a tomboy or something.

As for recurring dreams, for me, it is usually a message that the dream is trying to send me. Once I figure out the message, the dream stops. Not helpful, I know, if you don't have the message yet, but keep meditating on it, it will come to you.

I keep having odd nursing dreams. Like that I am nursing a cat or nursing a tiny baby the size of a jelly bean. Maybe because I am so excited about nursing for the first time.

Yes, but it has nothing to do with pregnancy or babies

I ALWAYS dream that I'm about to graduate from h.s. and the school counselor calls me to his office to inform me that I'm one class short from my requirements to graduate and it's too late to take the class so I won't graduate!

I've had the dream where I'm in college also (Univ of Michigan, go blue!)

No clue what it means. FWIW, I graduated from both hs AND college!

Ooh, I had one of those when I was pg with dd. In my dream, there was a lactation consultant at the house and she was teaching me how to nurse before the baby was born, and I was supposed to practice with one of our cats. Apparently the teeth were not supposed to be a problem.

I have since read that cats are a symbol of fertility, so maybe you are just feeling like, being pg, you are nurturing or feeding your fertility? Or maybe, as you said, you are just excited about nursing!

YumaDoula - when I have dreams where I can't reach a goal I usually chalk it up to stress. And it sounds like you have more than your share right now.
