Any Orange County, CA moms? Do you exist down here??

How weird...I was just planning to do a search of threads on this subject today.

Our family will be in Orange County next month for eight days visiting my in-laws. These days, my girls are the youngest members of the family (they are 4.5 years and 21 months), so I was wondering if there might be some possible playmates for them while we are there. We will be in Laguna Nigel, or Rancho Santa Margarita.

I'm here! I used to be in Laguna Beach but recently relocated to lovely Modjeska Canyon. I an an older, ahem, mama (43!) with a two year old son.

Another MDC mama -- Isleta --- is also in Orange County - on the coast.

She and I generally hang out in Activism...but I've been too busy lately to do much.

I have a quick question for a California native--what is the law on car seats for kids there? In NJ, they recently passed a law that said all kids 80 pounds or under had to be in a car seat or booster seat. My older dd is 4.5 years old, about 35 lbs, and very tall for her age. She normally sits in a booster seat with a regular shoulder belt around her. She doesn't fit well in most smaller car seats, because of her height.

We're headed out to Orange County for an in-law visit soon, and will be renting a car, and I'm trying to figure out how many seats I need to request or provide.
