I have read <i>Running with Scissors</i>, <i>Dry</i> and <i>Possible Side Effects</i>. Any other fans? I have a few to read first but am looking forward to getting another one of his books.

I have read <i>Me Talk Pretty One Day</i> but that is the only book of his I have read. I did enjoy it. What is your favorite Sedaris book?<br><br><br>
My brother is gay and currently has an overwhelming addiction to alcohol and cocaine. For Christmas I sent him a letter along with Running With Scissors and Dry. I couldn't help but think of my brother while reading both of those books. He hadn't gotten them yet so I don't know of his reaction but I hope he reads them and gets something out of it.

I've read all of Sedaris' books, and my favorite, hands-down is <i>"Dress your family in corduroy and denim."</i><br><br>
I had the pleasure of meeting him last spring. Sedaris was asked who his favorite author(s) were and he answered Tobias Wolff, and Max Brooks. That is how I got turned on to Max Brooks books, and was already a fan of Wolff's short stories.

I thought so too. I was so in awe when I finally got up there right in front of him. I was so still and speechless, until DH nudged me and reminded me I may <i>never</i> be that close to him again.<br><br>
It was such a funny experience. He (Sedaris) was quite enthused with the fact that I was a SAHM to three kids - like I was some sort of superhero.<br><br>
I'll remember it forever. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

i love max brooks! i have his zombie survival guide; it holds an invaluable wealth of information. im still trying to convince dh we need a house boat, haha.<br><br>
i also LOVE both sedaris and burroughs...<br><br>
i have read burroughs books, running with scissors, possible side effects, and magical thinking. i have been meaning to get his book, dry.<br><br>
by sedaris i have read naked, dress your family in deniem and curdoroy, and barrell fever. barrell fever is a compilation of fictional short stories and also some essays... i thought the story "the last you'll hear from me" was truly priceless!
