We are in zone 4/5 and right now popcorn is my daughtes favorite snack. So we are going to try some. I can't find any seeds locally, so I would like to order some this week.<br><br>
We are only going to do 2x 10ft rows and try hand pollination.<br><br>
Any type you would reccomend? Preferabally heirloom or organic.

I've grown Baby Rice in the past. It is an heirloom and it is absolutely delicious! I couldn't find the seed anywhere in a quick search, but I wonder if you could just buy some sold for popping and plant it? Here, we can get it at the farmer's market and in the local grocery stores, because there are a few growers in the area. It would be way cheaper than buying from a seed company that way, too!<br><br>
I'm not 100% positive about this, but I think you might be better off with 4 - 5' rows, rather than 2 - 10' rows, if that is an option...there is a better chance of pollination if you plant in blocks rather than rows. I had small 4x5ish areas for a couple years, and never had to hand pollinate.<br><br>

Yeah, I don't know too much about vegatable gardening, We have a small yard and I was planning on putting it up against the fence, I could probably do a block though.
