My dd (7) has learned quite a bit about U.S. states from a U.S. map puzzle.<br><br>
I'd like to find a global puzzle with the names of countries and around 100 pieces (or less). Does anyone have such a puzzle that they'd like to recommend?

Well not exactly what you wanted, but we found a really cool globe puzzle at Target. It is in the shape of an actual globe. It has 540 pieces but it has several levels of difficulty. The pieces are actually numbered on back to make it easier if necessary. Can't wait to see how well it goes together - my dd is so excited she had to open the box and feel the curve of the pieces.

If you cant find what you are looking for you could always paste a large map to a piece of foam core and make your own puzzle. I little more labor intensive but it could be a fun project, and probably cheaper!

I saw a big floor puzzle that is a map of the world. I'm not sure how many pieces it had but I'd say definitely under 100 but not so simple like 24. I believe it was Melissa and Doug (not 100% on that but pretty sure). I've seen it around at a lot of toy shops this fall. I think i may pick it up for Christmas.

elizawill- I'm glad you found the link useful. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
mom2ponygirl- We have not done well with larger puzzles in the past. That sounds really cool though and numbers on the back would be very helpful. Is it <a href="http://www.target.com/Buffalo-Games-Globe-Jigsaw-Puzzle/dp/B00000JL5%20T/sr=1-1/qid=1196265393/ref=sr_1_1/602-7083897-6765462?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aglobe%20puzzle&page=1" target="_blank">this</a>?<br>
Are the countries labeled? If you put it together can you update how it went?<br><br>
frogguruami- That's a good idea! Thanks.<br><br>
Augusta- I'll check out Melissa and Doug products.
