i'm in long beach and have a 2.5 week old adopted son...close enough??

i know it is still some time ahead any my child is not in your age-group anyway, but i wanted to ask you guys which area you would recommand to live in around lawndale/inglewood?

currently my boyfriend lives and works in lawndale, but i dont really like it there. so we tend to move to another part/town end of this year, but it has to be close enough for him to reach his job within a reasonable time (not more than 1 hour drive including traffic).

do you have any suggestions? i love the beach and a natural environment (off course i know that the mentioned are is not very green).

I live in the "El Camino Village" area of Lawndale. There definitely are some shady parts of Lawndale, but I really like my neighborhood, it's cute and the neighbors are really friendly. Lawndale is not far from Manhattan Beach, we are always walking on the strand, etc. and my parents live in Redondo, so we're always floating around there, I'm up for a playdate
