Any spinners out there?

I've just signed up for a 1-day learn-to-spin class as my birthday present: have I bitten off more than I can chew? Will I regret it?

Color me jealous! I am a spinner- but I have never really taken a class. I participated in one demo day-when I learned the long draw- but I would love the chance to really get a lesson.

It's not a question of biting off more than you can chew... I think it's just a question of how much $$$ you are going to sink at this restaurant.

So... what wheel do you have your sights on? (wink)

Love Sarah
It is a lot easier than you might think. Have fun!
just started to use a drop spindle. how I would lurve a wheel but I know it's not in my near future.
I would kill for a wheel, but I live in a two-bedroomed shoebox with three kids, a dog and a messy husband: I'm limiting myself to a drop spindle whilst they're out of the house (for now, at least) Not, you know, that I've been ogling wheels at all- but I need a bigger house first.
I spin occasionally. I've had the most success with angora fur spun to embroidery thread weight with a drop spindle. It would be cool to have a wheel, but since it's more of a minor hobby with me, it's not really on my urgent list.

Have fun with the class!
