I need a cake - or something interesting to take the place of a cake - for my sister's bridal shower in July. She's a wedding coordinator, so she's a tad on the picky (maybe even snobby <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> ) side about how these kinds of things should look. It would have to be very professionally done. Would anyone here be interested in helping me? You can PM me if you'd rather your exact location not be public. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

My MIL has a cake shop (Kreative Kakes on Watson) where she makes some really cool looking cakes for all occasions. They're not healthy or alternative or anything like that but they're cool and reasonably priced. Her cake shop number is 781-5080

If you do go with a place & want a really good tasting cake with quality ingredients, we got our wedding cake at cravings in webster groves. They do have a website. They use real butter, good oils, etc... We got a chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting with raspberry in the middle. It was the best cake I've ever had at a wedding. I'm going to get a mini one for our anniversary.

I think there is a place called Edible Creations or something that makes fruit bouqets that you can eat. They've always looked lovely.
