Hi there,

I have a KK Adjustable Cotton Pouch, and it's great, although yesterday I noticed that it was cutting a bit too much into my baby's legs, making them all red - I took him out of the sling immediatly when I noticed!

Any tips to avoid that happening?

Thanks!

not familiar with that type of sling, but maybe you could put a receiving blanket under him for padding, or sort of roll the edges of the sling to be softer against his skin

You can also try bringing the edge of the fabric as far out on his leg as possible. It should bring his legs up and reduce the pressure.

I had the KKACP and got rid of it because of this same reason.

But, maybe email Tanya at KK and see what she says!

Yeah, I'd try bringing the fabric up/out more like the pp said -- should come all the way up behind your baby's knees and her/his knees should be higher than her/his bottom.

Maybe try some babylegs, if it's not too hot.

I love their fleece pouch and it doesn't have that problem because it's so stretchy. But you have to make sure the butt is REALLY far down there and the leg is really high. Or just carry around a rag and put it under the leg. I love my KKPouches and I've toiled with just putting some padding around the leg now that I only use them for hip/back carry.
