we had an accidental uc last time, lol. midwife missed the birth by about 45 minutes. but we're hoping our mw will make it this time.

How are you feeling? I am tired and nauseous all.the.time. It will be my 5th child, my first was born at home with a midwife and the other three were UC, my 2nd was a solo UC. I'm considering it. Our midwife cannot attend us at home (CPMs are illegal in South Dakota and she will go to jail if she does--she's already been there once and twice more had a suspended sentence). QUOTE]

Hey Mamas!
YAY! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. This will be our first UC...we were pretty much UC last time, because I explained to my MW that I loved her...but didn't want to have her around while I was birthing...so she silently checked in occasionally, but mainly slept during my birth...which was great...but really cementedme in my conviction about UC! So, this time we will be UC and I'm so happy. DH will probably try to freak a little about it toward the end of the pg....but he's just afraid of something happening to me. We are literally a 2 minute drive the the hospital...so, I'm okay with UC. I'm pretty much UP...DH is *insistent* upon a 20 week u/s to make sure everything is okay and rule out twins, etc...and also because he wants to know the sex of the babe, which I DO NOT! But I understand his wanting to make sure everything is okay with the bubs heart, etc...so, I am giving him the diagnostic u/s. Other than that, very light care with a MW, just to make sure that I don't have any "trouble" with government types after the fact.
So far I feel the normal pg stuff....I've been WICKED sick again with this pg, which is unfortunate...but I'm sure it will calm down around 12 or so weeks. Did last time, anyway!
My mood has been much different this time....I think because I have a 10 month old to look after and can't just lounge around and sleep when I like. I've just been much more cranky and volitile! Oooops!
Other than that, I'm Happy Happy Happy to be expecting our second babe!! Wooohooo! YAY November Mamas!!
