Ok, this is one of my last stitch efforts to NOT buy fitteds.............

I just recently tried a Stacinator wool side-snapping cover - which I really LOVED, but...........it dug into ds' thigh something awful. I mean actual bruised indentations. I am so mad because I was actually able to just fold the prefold in palce there without pinning!!

Any other side snapping cover that will let me do that, and won't damage ds' thighs?

(now off to post another question about snappis..................)

I have tried this, and found that you just can't get a close enough fit with a side-snap cover to lay a prefold inside it. (Unless you damage their thighs, like you mentioned.) Velcro has been the only cover I can do this with.

no no don't tell me that!
Although I know you are right because after the thousands of hours of searching for dipes and covers on the internet, I probably would have found it myself by now. I am just hoping I must have missed something. I thought maybe a sugarpeas wool? Not that I'll ever get my hands on one

I have three Sugar Peas covers, and I have tried it. The CPFs get all bunchy and you have leaks and poop all over everything. You could try her hemp-snap ins, which are great for nighttime (they don't hold poop in well). I looked at the cover that was just listed on ebay -- it's cute! But I've also tried it with a pull-up cover -- no go.

Are you Snappi adverse?

Freshies! sells TrimWrap covers (I think that is what it is called) designed to work well with unpinned prefolds. I believe you can order a TrimWrap in wool, fleece or PUL. I have one in wool that works great under our fitteds and PFs. They have lots of snaps and fit DD very well with lots of room to grow.

If you can master the snappi (not hard at all) then sugarpeas might work wonders! I have a chubby boy with chubby thighs, and a snappi'd prefold under a SP wool cover wprks really well. Only once did bf poo get on the cover.

I bought some fleece Stacinators used recently and I've had the same problem with them digging into dd's legs. Is it the corner on the end where the snaps are (if that makes any sense) that is digging in? Does your ds have chubby legs like my dd does? I'm just wondering if this has something to do with the way Stacinators are sewn in general. Sorry, kinda OT but I've been wondering about these covers and I'm bummed 'cuz I got them for a great price on the Trading Post.

Boobykin-
exactly. I know, hard to describe the location, but that is right where it was on ds. But ds had the WORSE indentations I had ever seen!
Cortney -
Do those leg openings look a bit large to you? even for ds I think! but very cute!
I am snappi challenged. I have a post about this floating about. I am working on it though.

I use trifolded prefolds in my Freshies side snap and my Ivy Rose side snap wool( although they arent made any more).

I also had a sugar peas cover that was a tester, so it was a little snugger fit and it worked great, it was my favorite cover, until my hubby threw it in the diaper pail. Now I have a small Sugar peas cover...

Also, trifolded pfs worked in my wool biobottoms.
