I tried searching on the LLL website and got totally frustrated. Surely there must be some WBW events going on in the Boston area this weekend? I know about the event in Concord but was hoping for something a bit closer to home. Anyone??

Please consider coming to Concord on Sunday or Hanover on Monday for one of ProMoM Nurse Out's...

I realize these are not close but most states either have none or just one Nurse Out. I picked Hanover because I thought some moms from the Boston area could make the trip-- and it would still be close to moms from the Cape and other S.Shore areas. I live in Plymouth and Hanover is still about a 30 minute drive for me, so I certainly could have chosen a closer location.

I just created a post for the Concord event as I didn't see it posted here: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...67#post5693067

Here's the MDC post to the Hanover event, which I am organizing: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=493391

And a few short details--
Hanover Mall Hanover, MA
10:30-3:00 Monday 8/7
Meet up around Friendly's
Lunch together around Friendly's 12-1
Participants offered a 4 week pass to Gymboree Play and Music courtesy of Kelly Barry a Labor & PP Doula and Gymboree teacher

Also, just get out and Nurse in public!!

Cheers!

One more thought... just set a time and email everyone you know to get together in a public place.

The weather is going to be beautiful so just 2-3 people gathered in a public place with their children nursing -- say at Boston Garden or around Park Street T, Harvard Square, Government Center, etc. will probably reach more people than our 4 hour event at the Hanover Mall.

Add a homemade World Breastfeeding Week sign and a few balloons and a few more people might come up and talk. Take a few pictures to record the event.

The point of a Nurse Out is that it is just that simple!

Jessica- I hope you don't mind me posting this, but Hanover is too far for us- my 9 month old just doesn't do well in the car for that long. I don't want to take away from the Hanover event, of course.

Anyways, if anyone is interested in meeting somewhere in Boston or north shore, I'd love to meet up- maybe at a park for a picnic or something. Any ideas??

Thanks Jessica, I was aware of the Hanover meet as well but that's too far for me -- farther than Concord I believe. Also, it's on Monday, and I work full-time so I just can't do that.

Chelsmm (or anyone else), if you would like to join me for a mini-meet in Harvard Square, give me a yell!
