I have the most precious 1-year plaster cast of my daughter's hand. She's two now and I'm afraid I'm pressing my luck for keeping it intact. I'm looking for a way to keep it from getting broken or crumbled, and the only thing I could think of was to bronze it, yk, like some folks bronze baby shoes.

I've seen some "ship it to us" sites, but gosh I'm scared to put this in the mail. It really is darling and precious to me. Anyone have any experience with bronzing things? Did you ship it somewhere? Do it locally? Do it yourself? Anyone have any other ideas to make this plaster more durable, other than bronzing?

Thanks!
