Anyone consider an international midwifery conf?

Right now, I have nobody due in October. There is a Midwifery Today conference in Germany at the end of October. I'm seriously considering it! I love Germany and think this could be an incredible adventure. I might consider taking my then-12 year old daughter with me and do some sightseeing in Holland, too.

Anyone from the US done this? What was your experience?

Pam,

Just started to subscribe to Midwifery Today, recieved, read my 1st issues of MT, Birth Kit, Newsletter, member of International Alliance of Midwifes. Would love to go one of their national and international conferences to see what they are like in the future. This is better for me then Mothering and the other Mothering Magazines that I subscribe in this past year.

Thank you.

I'm condiering it. I just got back from one and it was amazing. I'll have to see if I can afford it, but I've never been out of the country and woul dlove to go!
If I had the funds, I would go in a heart beat!! I have only been to one MT conference, and it was a total inspiration to be with so many other people working for natural birth, etc. I bet the international ones would be even better...to get to hear so many ideas from people working in other cultures...

I say GO GO GO!!!

Besides, the trip itself would be invigorating, even without the conference.
