My sister did Kaylee's hand & foot mold for me at the funeral home. The 3D ones. All this time later she gave them to me. Her fingers are all broken off. Anyone else do this & know how to fix them ? It's so hard to see her little hand smashed like that. I want to fix them & seal them. She was so much smaller than I remembered .

This stuff works for the plaster I've had to repair (but it was outdoor statue type stuff...) It would work for indoor casts, too, though, if they're plaster. Check Home Depot or Lowe's or a local hardware store for it.

I have Josie's hand and foot casts like that - a local dentist did them for us and delivered them to the hospital. I sometimes worry about them breaking but they haven't so far. I wonder if I should maybe varnish them or seal them or something?

I wonder what you could do. I think Dawn has some good advice
Otherwise, perhaps experiment with scrap plaster (make your own little plaster blocks perhaps?) and some different glues?

Anyway, I hope you can fix her little hand
I have been thinking I should take some pictures of her hand and foot casts. I love having them, and just need a permanent home for them - not an old cardboard box. Any ideas?

What a wonderful gift. I wish I had casts of Gideon's hands and feet. We have a great copy of his footprints, but actually don't have a single copy of his handprints. Oh my god, that kills me some days. I wish so hard, but that's how it is, I guess.

I think Jay's idea is great. get a similar kit and make up some plaster blocks. Then try gluing them together some different ways and see what works best. maybe even a little bit of fresh plaster would work? Good luck!

How about a shadow box? I'm thinking about this. Something to put all the mementos in to display them?

I do have his handprint, on my husband's drum, because we went to the funeral home to get it. But I don't have pictures of his whole body without all the coverings... I wish I had that. I wish I had pictures of his little feet. I have the footprint but not pictures of his feet. I looked at them, I remember them, but the fear is I will forget.

It's so awful that we have so little and we lament these little things we don't have... when what we really want is our baby back!

Have my stuff in a little cabinet thing with a drawer. I put her clothes inthe drawer everything else in the cabinet. If I can figure out how I will post a pic.
