Have people been telling you lately that it looks like you have dropped?<br><br>
I have had several people, including our Realtor mention it to me lately.

No, but people keep telling me I look "smaller" then before and I think it's because the baby is down in my pelvis... though I feel like replying in a more snarky way and just saying because I've gained so much weight in my butt it makes my tummy look smaller <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><br><br>
A couple months ago everyone said I was huge, and now I"m "too small to have a baby in May". Sheesh.

nope have not heard those exact words but I have had the following reactions:<br><br>
-people scream...yes scream and say "omg you should be in the hospital"<br>
-one guy said "what? are you like 10 months pregnant?"<br>
-another girl gets in the elevator with me and says "wooo girl you about to pop that one out."<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">

Yes, all the time. I remember when baby dropped. I even noticed a huge difference.

I don't get out much so I don't have much interaction with other people who could tell me something like this. OK - let me rephrase that - I don't get out at all which means I only interact with the people kind enough to stop by and chat with me while I lay in bed!<br><br>
That being said, I can tell she has engaged and "dropped." I finally have an appetite again after nearly nine months of not having one and I can breathe much easier. The down side of this is that I am getting up 3-4 times a night to make my way to the bathroom!!!

I have the opposite. People are asking me when the baby is due (in 5 days) and then they tell me that the baby hasn't dropped. I just look at them with a blank look or smile and stare. I mean, what am I supposed to do about that? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked"><br><br>
And, fwiw, my DD never dropped before labor.

People have been telling me that I've "dropped" for a couple of months now but I think I'm just carrying low. I have noticed that I've looked and felt smaller for the past week as baby really settles into my pelvis.

Yep. I think this baby has been the clearest about dropping out of all of mine so far. I could really tell when it happened and suddenly everybody was noticing. Interesting stuff.

Some ticket taker at the Titanic museum told me "that baby is coming soon....you are so low it may just fall out!" and that was like 2 months ago, lol. People tell me I look like I have dropped, but comparing pics to DD2 at this point, I look just the same, cept a little bit bigger. I do have tons of lung room and baby doesn't bother my ribs at all, so she is pretty low. Well, that and when I check myself I have to reach around her head to get to my wonky posterior cervix. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

People have said that to me, but since I've just come from the mw where they confirmed the baby is still transverse and nowhere near head in the pelvis, I'll just have to tell them, no it's just my pendulous uterus and slack abs, but thanks for your input!

Yep people say it all the time to me. I can't tell the difference from feeling, the baby was always low and I didn't have any trouble breathing. They seem to think it means I won't be making it much farther- I'd better make it a couple more weeks! I'm 36w tomorrow <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Mine has dropped, which is great for relieving the heartburn until he sticks a foot into my stomach.<br><br>
I do feel much smaller, and when I mentioned to a woman today that I was due any day, she said I didn't look like it. That is because she couldn't see how low my belly is under my shirt. My belly will actually touch surfaces I am sitting on sometimes. None of my maternity clothes fit anymore - I always have some belly showing.
