Two fo my friends sent me 'what to expect.." when I got pregnant with DS. I found myself so overwhelmed with all the "dangers" of pregnancy since my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage.

My labor doula gave me a book called, "Birthing from Within" which I love!! It was so empowering and informative and really the only book that I read that talked to the dad as a partner instead of "what you should be doing for your wife...do laundry, etc." KWIM?

Anyway, this time I"m working with a homebirth midwife and she's really the only birthing information that I'm relying on. She also has tons of informaitn for me.

Herbs: I'm working up to taking 6 capsules/day of alfalfa. It gives me more energy and it's supposed to help reduce the amount of blood loss during delivery (by mom).

I'm trying to like the pregnancy tea, but it's soo gross. I can't add sugar/honey because it makes my dry mouth worse. So for now, I made the tea into ice cubes and put them into my water so that I'm getting at least some of the good herbs for pregnancy.

How is everyone feeling? During the day I definitely feel more energy (13w4d), but at night, I still sometimes puke.
