I'll be 30 weeks on Thursday and man oh man I suddenly am not comfortable no matter if i'm sitting, standing, or lying down!

Every time i try to change positions, I get braxton hicks (often painful ones that sometimes wrap around my back). I always have to pee. Everything aches.

I also have a cold which makes things worse. Oh and a 3 year old who does not like to listen these days.

Ugh, I can totally relate! Just the past few days I cannot get comfortable, am having a hard time sleeping, & the Braxton Hicks are getting painful. I just feel achy.

Sorry you're sick, I was sick a couple weeks ago. It was so rough on top of pregnancy & taking care of a sick 2 year old! I hope you get over it quickly & your LO is easy to deal with this week. :)

I've got the beginnings of what is apparently SPD, plus Braxton Hicks. Yuck. Walking hurts, a lot.

Yep, every week gets harder and harder on me. Measuring and feeling full term. Have had BH for months. Can't sleep well cuz I'm tossing and turning and my back and hips hurt so bad, if I sit or lay in one position too long it hurts to move. I made the mistake of shoveling my driveway today (we got at least a foot of snow and I needed to get out without getting stuck to get DS2 from preschool) and now I hurt so so bad and DH chooses tonight to work late. :(

OMG i dont know how you did that, kitkat. I am feeling pretty crappy. I am having the irritable uterus, so contracting allllllll the time and it takes me 1 hour to wash dishes now. I have to keep sitting down every 5 mins. Plus side is I did all my nesting early, cleaned out cabinets, scrubbed walls/floors, etc because I knew I wouldnt be able to do it now...so at least that is done. I am just really bored.

I think most of us are with you. The braxton hicks are really picking up, I am officially waddling as baby has settled in nice and low (good for birthing... not so good for walking), I constantly have to pee, and the heartburn is really aggravating. I finally gave up and I am using the elevator at work instead of walking up the 4 flights of stairs, I was adamant I was going to make it till January but goodness....

My belly is starting to get itchy again, I think it's growing again (still), and my belly button is getting ready to pop out.

Yep. Pulled a glute muscle due to no abdominal strength. I was limping for a couple of weeks. That has healed. Now, I just have the general lower back ache, leg cramps and braxton hicks. Luckily my husband is a massage therapist! It's the having to pee every 20 minutes that really bugs me.

I broke down and bought a maternity pillow the other day...I can't wait until it arrives in the mail. I keep piling on the pillows at night, but my hips still end up hurting and I keep having to switch sides. I'm not sure how much the maternity pillow will help, but people have said they are amazing. I've gained about 30 pounds and I'm feeling it. I went to the bookstore the other day to browse around...something I normally love doing. I didn't last for more than half an hour My feet and lower back were getting so sore...just wasn't worth it. *sigh* This too shall pass...

i have had a lot of braxton hicks with each pregnancy, but never painful until this week. i am happy to read so many mentioning it, b/c i felt a little worried.

my dh had surgery on his shoulder this morning and when he came back, insisted that he (who can' t lift anything for a few weeks,) his dad (who has been having trouble w/ his back and shouldn't lift anything,) me (30 weeks now,) and our two overly tired girls go for a long snow walk. it was a disaster. i ended up carrying my 3yr up a snowy/icy hill, feeling like my stomach muscles were going to rip and then sat down at the top and (feeling more whiney than even my dd, who would not walk anymore,) insisted that dh get the car to pick us up.

still, overall (back, mood, ect...) i feel better than with my other pregnancies, but......not so much this past week.

I am having a much better pregnancy than I did last time, although I am still uncomfortable—standing, sitting, laying—I just cant breath! I cant sleep anymore because I have to pee every hour, but I was thinking today that at least I am getting used to sleepless nights in preparation for a newborn. I cant bend over to pick anything up anymore, which is awesome when you have a toddler to pick up after. Trying to put on boots the other day left me feeling as if I had just spent an hour doing advanced yoga! Oh, and the sweating—I am hot all the time! I didn’t have any Braxton hicks with my last pregnancy—so this feeling was new to me. Most of the descriptions I have read say that they are low in your belly and similar to a PMS cramp. Mine are high up, and feel like my stomach is so tight and hard as a rock! Sometimes there is a stabbing pain on one side of my belly too. Are these BH contractions? Anyone else case to describe one for me?

I didn't experience the braxton hicks with my last pregnancy either... I think that everyone gets them differently, mine are low, but I think that other people have mentioned feeling them higher up.

Me! I am having an awful time with my hips and back. I have to see a chiro & physical therapist twice a week. It also feels like someone has hit me with a baseball bat between the legs by the end of the day. I am so very uncomfortably swollen down there. I can't sleep. I am crabby more than I should be. And I am trying to do too much because I am in a nesting/ocd overdrive lately. Plus I am the PTO president at school and that is like a part time job! Oh and the needy dh and 5 kids require work too.

And anyone else hate making dinner lately? I am just out of ideas, and energy!

AND the baby is kicking and squirming and kicking. I was just having a decaf coffee at my favorite place with partner and he got disturbed watching me contort and squirm so we went home. I told him It doesnt really matter where I am Home wont make the baby quit kicking the hell out of me or make me feel any better..... lol

Men could never do what we do i swear. grrrr.

Good luck ladies. 10 or so more weeks of inner squirming...

I concur. When I get up from my desk at work I feel like my crotch is going to fall off. Also so swollen and throbby down there.

I feel like all of this just started in the past week - guess that's why it's the third trimester. I think the worst part is trying to put on my shoes, though. I definitely have to put my foot UP because my hands are NOT getting down to the feet. Sheesh.....

Glad to see others feel like a circus act trying to put on footwear. I still haven't figured out a good system, except for slip-on shoes! Maybe I should get DP to put them on my feet and I can squirm around to give him practice with unruly baby feet.

I have all the same complaints. Sometimes I get the PMS-ish BH and sometimes I get the higher up, hard-as-a-rock BH that even wrap around and stiffen my back. Baby loves to kick me in the ribs (feels like my lungs) and try to wave hello via my cervix. Since this is my first full pregnancy, I was worried that I might be too tired now, like something is wrong. After hearing from everyone else, though, now I know it just goes with the territory.

My husband masages me NIGHTLY. Seriously. No matter how tired he is. He is a BLESSING. He rubs my feet which are so swollen for like 30 minutes each and then my calves and thighs. Then he rubs my back for me and arms. He usually takes an hour rubbing me every night. Its heavenly.
