Anyone else go to mostly (or all) aios for their wiggly toddler?

I use prefolds and love them, but don't want the stress of getting them on ds. Sometimes he's fine with it, many times not.

Anyone else take the plunge and buy lots of aios for this period? or am I just a wimp....

We use FB's partly for this reason. I love prefolds and when I think he will lay still for more than 10 seconds we use prefolds. But most of the time he is in a FB.
I have a wriggly one, too. But I just lay my PF in the wrap before I chase her down. It's just like an AIO in that I lay her on it (or wrap it around her as she's stanidng) and fasten it.

But, certainly do what you want to do! We have AIOs for when we go out and such.

Nope, don't do AIOs. But I'll put a fitted on him coverless, so its the same number of snaps as an AIO.
I like putting PFs on him a lot too, but at about 15mo he sometimes is good for changes (gets a PF) and sometimes running away (gets a fitted which I put on him when he's standing
)

Around the house he's usually just wears a fitted, simple snap up and send him toddling on his way

We never used PF's. We use FB's, wonderoos, HH, and other fitted diaps. DD is a little wiggle worm and sometimes it is a battle to change her
.

Well actually i do have some PF's but I use them as stuffers

Thanks, ladies!
I am beginning to think I will just get a bunch of fitteds and leave the few aios I have for dh. It's too expensive to get many more aios anyway and I cannot find any that fit well AND are available!

Have you tried Lucy's Hope Chest? Cute, pretty affordable, available and work well for us.

We use mostly AIOs since dd is now in part time day care while I'm in school, but at home I prefer fitteds with wool covers for the breathability. I've never had a problem getting dd to settle down for a change though.
Well i go against the grain and say yup! ive got about 3 fitteds and a few prefolds but the rest of our stash is AIO's. Its easy and cheap when ya get them used lol
AIO's are pretty much all we use for DS, and dh's request
. Mainly Bumkins, Kushies, Rumpsters, FB's and Wonderoos. I like doing it that way. Very quick and easy.

This is precisely why I wonder if I should just box my fitteds up right now and then get them out again for when he's a speed demon and won't stay still! Mmm...decisions, decisions!

I was tempted to. But then I realized if it was quick and easy for me to get it on, its quick and easy for baby to get off! LOL

I still like fitteds and covers, because jack cant take them off. My velcro aios he does.
I find that it's actually best for me to put on a snapping fitted, if I can get it on him while he stands, and then pull on a wool soaker, because that he can't get off. Laying him down is usually a battle, but if he gets to hold the wet cloth wipes and hand them to me one by one as I need them, or if I give him something particularly interesting to play with, we can get the job done, including wool soaker on top of fitted. It's not easy though and many times a huge battle.
i find myself choosing the aios way more frequently these days and i'd love to have 4 more, but would need to move some of my fitteds to new homes first.
We do pretty much AIOs for ds. We use Mudpies, LHC, and one lone Bizzy B Hive.

I use mostly all aplix dipes because I dont want to make the change longer than it has to be.

This might turn into a discussion on HOW to change a wiggly toddler! :LOL

I have to say...my sister has a son 3 weeks older than mine, and she told me that when she lays her ds down (she uses sposies
) she stares into his eyes and intently sings him "You are my Sunshine", or sometimes "Away in a Manger". Something with a haunting, melody...and it HYPNOTIZES HIM!!! He smiles and stares at her mouth the whole time!

I was skeptical. I thought "sure, it will work once...then he'll see right through my attempts" but NO!!!! It has worked for every tough diaper change for a week!!!
