At my appointment on Tuesday morning I was 2-3 cm and 80% effaced. Up to then I had felt nothing more than normal B-H. That afternoon I started to have some I "felt" a little more (not painful, but more pulling down there maybe and a little more pressure? hard to describe.)

Those have been happening on and off through today. The babe's posterior, so I'm sure that doesn't help. (and I had a similarly LONG pre-labor with my first - started Tuesday morning, she was born Friday evening).

At least this time I'm not unable to sleep just from excitement - I know this could go on a while. And surprisingly, I'm fairly accepting that it might be tonight or it might be next week, so mentally I'm doing okay too.

Anyway, anyone else in the same boat right now? At least the weather has been nice here the past few days so DH and DD and I have been out walking and going to parks etc. - enjoying our last few days as a family of three!

Not days here, but I've been having that tonight for the last three hours. Too early to chalk it up to anything substantial, I'm 37w3d and am ready but not expecting anything for a couple of weeks. Haven't had any checks so I don't know if I'm effaced or dilated.

I've been having contractions through the night most nights but have been sleeping through them for the most part. They die off during the day though and return to what feel like BH for the most part. I'm not expecting anything to really happen for at least another 2 weeks.

The only "checks" I have had done are by me and from what I can tell I am effaced somewhat, but not sure how much and MAYBE dialated to 1cm but not any more than that for sure.

Same here. Started in at about 9:45 last night. My DH actually blew up the pool and brought the spare mattress downstairs. I couldn't stop laughing at him because he seemed really traumatized. I had a feeling it was just a warm up and it was but at least I know that he is ready at a moments notice!

I was totally ready last night and in my "space" but it would be nice to hold out to my due date. Its supposed to be really hot on Saturday and I have a birthday party at the beach to attend and I really wanna go!!

Yes, it's just a trend for me with all of my pregnancies.

Check out spinningbabies to try to get that posterior babe in the proper position. It can help get that labor more effective if babe is where it belongs.

I'm experiencing some ctxs on and off, but they don't seem like anything major. I feel like I'm in the "gearing up" phase, and that I probably still have a couple weeks to go. At least! I had them quite a bit the past 2 days, but I have no idea what that means. I'm not letting myself get too excited, since they aren't particularly strong.

I had one night of really
steady ctxs last weekend. They started in the evening/late afternoon and lasted into the night. Some of them woke me up. But I could tell they weren't really going anywhere, just warming me up. I hope they did some work!
I remember having that a few times with ds1, and I think it is what helped me have such a short labor (5 hours).
I could really tell a difference the night I woke up actually in active labor with him. I felt antsy and kinda primal. Totally different headspace.
It sounds like your body and baby are just getting ready too. Maybe that LO is trying to turn to the right spot and trying out some labor positioning too.

I hate to say it, but it all lasted a little over a month for me last time. I really hope this one comes soon. I'm too tired to labor off and on for too long this time!
