So, I'm peeing approximately every ten minutes or so. This is my first pregnancy, so correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the bladder thing got really bad near the end, or at least when the baby is bigger than one of the poppy seeds from the everything bagel I attempted to eat this morning.

I mean, I know frequent urination is a symptom of pregnancy but I guess I didn't expect it to be this . . . sudden. And now that the MS has hit it seems like I've been running to the bathroom all day long. I wanted to wait and tell work as far into the pregnancy as I could but if things keep up at this rate that's going to be blown to hell. People aren't idiots, they're going to notice something is up.

How about you guys? Have you become as intimate with the tile as I have?

The frequent peeing comes atthe beginning, too, because your uterus is sitting low in your pelvis as it starts to grow and push on your bladder. During the second trimester, the uterus moves up off of your bladder so you get a break. During the third, it comes back when the baby is so big! That's right...I am a nurse...can you tell??
So...yep...I am also running to the bathroom every 10 minutes. It started yesterday and my office mate just laughs (she knows)! Have fun!!

This time I am not sick - I had hyperemesis gravidarum last time, so I had to tell work pretty much at 6 weeks. I was in the bathroom more than I was working and eventually had to go on drugs, but that didn't stop my constant heartburn and needing to eat all the time so it was pretty obvious something was up when I was eating anything in sight and popping antacids every 15 minutes.

This time, thankfully, nothing like that, but yes, I am peeing a lot. Last night I woke up 4 times! And what's really weird - painful, painful gas! I kept thinking I was eating something bad, but it's been too often not to be pregnancy related.

Oh the painful gassiness!! I read in an Ina May book somewhere about he pain of an "impacted fart" and I think that describes it exactly!!! I have times where I can't stand up straight.

And yes, the constant peeing. This is my third and DH was trying to tell me I was making up the symptom. "the baby is the size of a speck, like it's really making you have to pee! Geez, as soon as the test showed positive, the symptoms magically appear"

apparently he doesn't remember my mood swings either or my super sensitivity... I cried for 5 minutes aftr that!
