I have been pretty calm this pregnancy, but since my last appt at 12 weeks when I heard baby's heartbeat, I am worried because I can't feel movement yet. I am 14 weeks today.

It took us 20 minutes to find the heartbeat at 12 weeks and only heard it for a few seconds before baby kicked away. So just unjustified fears but there none-the-less.

Nausea gone, fatigue better and belly still bloated, but no spotting or heavy pain either.

Guess I just want some reassurance, and there are two more weeks until next appt. with the Midwife.

Thanks :)

i think the way you're feeling is pretty normal. (at least i know i'm feeling the same!) it's a strange time after the yuck of first trimester ends until you can really feel the baby. it's almost like you're not even pregnant anymore.

i just remind myself that most pregnancies at this point end well and also that what will happen is going to happen and worrying doesn't really doesn't help. (easier said than done :) )

I totally feel the same way...and just had a HB check today because of it...and another reason that made the fear worse than it normally is.

I've never had an issue in any pregnancy but yet I still have the same worries...it's a weird time in pregnancy. I'm looking forward to when I can feel baby move.

Thank you both! Yes, it is a weird time...I keep felling little bubbly things there and I keep telling myself it could be baby, but it still feels a lot like gas....so I am not ready to say it is that...I am also plus size and had a c-section with my first, so even less likely.

Thank you for your words, they help more than you know.

I am feeling that way, even with feeling intermittent movement. I haven't heard the heartbeat yet, they couldn't find it at 13 weeks but at that time, I was feeling fairly certain flutters, so although I wasn't thrilled at not hearing him/her, I wasn't too worried. Now I feel the odd flutter or nudge, but it's still not as strong or as regular as I'd like (I think maybe I felt baby once today, and it was not a clear "I'm here" thing, so it makes me worry my mind is playing tricks on me). I am wondering if I have a somewhat anterior placenta and as it grows, it's blocking babe more (and/or babe is favoring hanging out near it)? By this point with DS2, I was feeling really really clear movement and it was all the time, and my DH had even felt him once, too. So I think I'm spoiled in my expectations, kwim?

I have this terrible fear I'm going to go to my appointment on Thursday and get very bad news...and realize that the few things I've felt from babe lately have been all in my imagination :( I really cannot wait for Thursday!

Hang in there. A few more weeks and our babies will make it known without question that they're in there and moving (I hope...I really hope for no anterior placentas for any of us, what a pain!).

Very much so. I've had a very touch and go feeling and those weeks between hearing the heartbeat are tough until the flutters kick in. Luckily it's not much longer until I get the constant reassurrance that LO is fine.

YES!! With my second pregnancy I started feeling strong kicks from the baby at about 14 weeks. I am almost 15 weeks, and I have not felt anything that I was certain was baby. I have no reason to be afraid, but I am!! I have heard to hb twice now. Once at my 12 week appointment and then last week I had to bring one home from work just to listen to the baby for reassurance...

I'm pretty anxious myself. I went from having severe m/s and cramps and everything yucky to now feeling almost nothing. I do feel occassional kicks but they are just so infrequent. I will feel one or two kicks on one day and then nothing for a couple days and that's when I get so nervous. My next appt isn't until Dec 9th so I am really hoping the kicks increase so I can make it that long.

Haven't heard a heartbeat yet and I'm at 15 weeks. I'm going in for my second midwife appointment today, so I hope she can find it. I feel anxious and somewhat detached from the pregnancy at this point. Without an HB or feeling any kicks, it's sometimes hard to believe there's a little life in there.

Hang in there, though. I know, as someone else said, it's easier said than done. But your body knows how to help this baby grow. Just keep that in mind. :) The movement will come in time.

I haven't heard a hb yet either! And it's driving me crazy to wait so long!!! I'm 13 weeks and have two more weeks until my next midwife appointment. I feel like I'm being cautiously optimistic until I actually hear the hb... and I hate feeling more detached to this pregnancy than I was with my other two at this point.

I'm 17 weeks and still not feeling movement (there were 2 times where I really thought I did at 14 and 16 weeks but that's all). I have an appt on Mon and I'm a little nervous. I'm just hoping this means my baby is smaller than my last two 9 pounders.

Yes I am nervous between appointments :). I am due early may and really am not feeling consistent movement. I also don't feel pregnant at all-- no nausea, great energy, though the bump is steadily growing larger! I have an appt in 2 days so we shall see what is going on in there...

I'm super nervous too, having already had one miscarriage. My next appointment is December 15th, and I'm at 16 weeks as of tomorrow. Haven't felt any movement. I'm tempted to pay out of pocket for an ultrasound just to have some sanity. :)

Yes I'm nervous! That's one reason I rented a doppler. Once I actually feel the baby start moving I'll send it back but for now it's keeping me from going crazy lol
