My DD is 31 months and nursing 1-2 times a day. We nightweaned a year ago. I still haven't gotten my period back. In the beginning of February, I had a couple of days with some very light spotting, but that's it. I'm not using any form of birth control.

Is full, complete weaning the only way I'll get my period back?

It isn't common but it happens. Depends on a variety of factors, your age, previous fertility, etc.

My mother said that happened with her. Granted she weaned my brother at 13 months and he was the one who nursed the longest. I thought I was lucky to go 24 months with dd1. DD2 only went 20 months and she didn't sleep through the night like DD1.

I'm curious about this as well. My LO is 16 months old and I haven't had my period at all. Just curious as to when its going to come back.

31 months WOW! Not common, but does happen. With mine it was 15 months and 14 months for AF return.
