Or if you are, you have absolutely no clue?

I mentioned to my MW at my 30 week appt (at which I was actually 1 day shy of 31 weeks) that I not only believe I haven't had any, but there hasn't been anything that even seems like it could be.

I'm a first-timer, so maybe I am having them and don't know it, but seriously, I'm not feeling ANYTHING that seems like my uterus doing, well, anything other than being kicked/punched by baby.

My MW said I almost certainly was having them and probably just didn't realize it. When I told her my sister says she never had one wit her DS, my MW made it seem like that was impossible.

Could I really be missing them completely????

I don't seem to be feeling them this time either. Maybe they're happening while I'm sleeping? With my first they were really obvious.

I THINK I felt one once when I was exercising, but that's it. Otherwise, I have noticed nothing. I think that's normal, especially for us first timers..

I don't think I have them, and if I do, I'm not realizing it. I never felt them with my first, but was 4 cm dilated before I ever went into labor, so maybe I'm just oblivious to them. I haven't felt any this time around either.

I think I MIGHT have had one one time....and MAYBE..just MAYBE one time after I had an orgasm...hehe....however, I have been feeling "odd" because I keep seeing everyone talk about how many they're having per day (like 10-20) and I just don't EVER feel them like that. Like I said..I'm 33 weeks and I have had MAYBE 1 or 2 if I was feeling correctly?

I guess we're not so weird after all eh?

hi, not in your DDC, but i just wanted to let you know that you're normal. i didn't have a single BH with DS...not a twinge until i was in labour. it's no big deal really. i have no idea what a BH feels like, but to me labour ctrx felt like major menstrual cramps.

I didn't know what I was feeling the first time around, and I didn't get them until the very end....at least I didn't realize what I was feeling until the very end. This time around, I started to get them at 24 weeks exactly. They come so frequently, I have begun to despise them

ETA: For some they don't feel like much of anything, for some, the tightening is SOOOOO strong they almost hurt. It's just a tightening of the uterus...makes your whole belly rock hard. They feel nothing like labor contractions.

I didn't have any BH that I knew of with my first. I had some with my second. Now with my third I seem to have them all the time (when I stand up, walk a lot, BFing my DS, etc. . .). I think it is pretty common with a first child not to feel the BH.

With my first ds I didn't have any at all but this time around it seems I have them all the time. My mw said that it's normal to feel them all the time after the first baby.

I don't think I've had any either. Though, I have had a bit of a tightening a couple times after orgasm. I'm not sure if they wer BH or not.

I'm @ 35 weeks and have only had them once, about 2 weeks ago! I'm considering myself lucky...No need to worry since I feel tons of fetal movement!

Yeah.... Remember how three posts ago I said I hadn't had any? Well, the next day I had two and yesterday I had one.

But then last night I had diarrhea terribly, broke out in a sweat, nearly passed out from pain, and then threw up violently. I was so scared that she was coming! I finally felt better, took a long, hot shower, and got into bed where I slept for 10 hours. Today I'm fine. I think it was just bad pizza. :puke

I'm glad you're feeling better! I had an episode just like that very early on (like 6 weeks) and was so freaked out! I knew it was way beyond morning sickness, but never figured out what it was.

Still no BH here as far as I can tell. Only thing that *could* be it is when I walk on the treadmill, I get a cramp down low, but I'm quite sure it's bowel related (since lately I have to go badly within 10 minutes of walking).
