Yep, I have some maternity clothes that simply do not fit over my belly anymore. And not just the first tri type pants with the narrow bands, we're talking all kinds of clothes that most women wear into their 3rd tri.

I'm having a REALLY hard time finding shirts that will cover to the bottom of my belly, at least halfway decently! It doesn't help that I'm all belly, and my breasts haven't grown at all from my pre-pg size (small) B. So bigger shirts look quite funny on me!

I can't wait until summer, when I can wear dresses. That's my favorite thing about having a summer baby!! I hate any pressure at all on my belly.

My bazoombas haven't stopped growing--for this reason, I look ridiculous in maternity shirts xl from motherhood, the style where it's usually empire waist with elastic where your boobs are supposed to fit under. The elastic goes right across the top of my boobs. When I go to a 1x, the belly is way too short. I refuse to spend $$ on more shirts that will probably not fit in 2 weeks!

I have some dresses that are 100% polyester and very stretchy that I've realized I can totally wear while pregnant if I just wear a cami under it for the boob factor. I will just begin to rock those out every single day.

Heh. I am finally into maternity stuff full time
I actually still wear a lot of regular shirts. I just carry babies differently I guess. Pearl2- I totally get what you mean about those shirts! I can't find any that fit under my boobs either, and the ones large enough to cover everything make me look like a tent- not pregnant.

I am looking forward to the warm weather- shorts, skirts, loose fitting everything!

I had this issue in the last week. My boobs grew another cup size. I'm a G cup now!
I used to be a C cup looooong ago (pre-kids). I gain cup sizes with each kid.

On Sunday, I went to put on an XL buttondown shirt (good quality one from a real maternity shop - got it on clearance when they were going out of business), and this shirt fit the whole pregnancy last time, but Sunday I couldn't wear it. The boobs were just too big, and it was pulling apart at the buttons.
And several other shirts are now unwearable as well.

I also have the problem with the empire waists going across the boobs instead of under them. These tops are not designed for larger cup sizes. They really need to have full figured maternity clothes available... really full figured.

Pants also stopped fitting. I think my hips have spread, because a lot of XL pants I can't even get up over my hips. The belly is not the problem!

I finally found a pair of capris at my local consignment shop - $5.98! And they have the wide elastic band that goes across the belly button. This is what is comfortable to me and it doesn't fall down like everything else does. These pants even have real, full size pockets!
: It's the In Due Time brand, which a friend said was what Target used to sell? The Liz Lange stuff Target sells now never fits me at all. In fact, MOST pants at various stores don't fit me. Grrrr.

I got some T-shirts from a friend that are stretchy enough to work. They're Motherhood brand, but are pretty old probably. Must be, because they aren't falling apart!

I also found a size 16/18 non-maternity dress at Walmart in a stretchy material that I can wear for church. It fits and has growing room. 16/18 is my normal size non-pregnant.

My non-pregnant skirts still fit, because one is an elastic band that stretches a TON (I can pull it 6" out in front of me still), and the other is a wrap skirt that I made, with 3 button holes. If I need more button holes at some point, I can just add them. I have plenty of wraparound fabric in this skirt. I just don't have nice tops to wear with the skirts, since my boobs don't fit in any of my nice tops.

I have G cups and I've had some luck with Old Navy in things that fit my boobs of doom. Heck, I'm right now in one of their new nursing camis, which obviously is NOT maternity, and it fits perfectly (size XL for the boobage)

My regular shirts all fit okay too - I think its partly because empire waist was so in the last few years, most of my shirts are maternity-ish looking anyway. I still only have one maternity item so far, my maternity running skirt (which ROCKS) since my regular running skirts if I am actually running in them, ride too low and are uncomfortable. For regular out and about though and biking they are fine, so I still wear them. I have two pairs of jeans that fit okay still, one though I need an elastic around the waist.

I'm hoping I can eke this out and not buy any maternity stuff. I figure Ill get a lot bigger in the next 8 weeks, but I can maybe swing it w/ my stretchy stuff (the running skirts) and dresses. My yoga tops (from J crew) also should fit for a while, they are SUPER long which annoyed me not-pregnant but now they are great!

I definitely grew out of my first round of maternity clothes (bought when I was 8 weeks pregnant.) I went back to Motherhood Maternity to buy the same jeans (since I tried several other brands and hated them) and the same exact pair of jeans went up from $29.00 (already far more then I'd spend on non-maternity jeans) to $44.00!!
: In fact, EVERYTHING in their store went up in price, and their return policy changed from 30 days (which was already ridiculous!) to 10 days and store credit ONLY. It's awesome
...I caved and bought one pair of capri's that were soooo cute, on sale for $39, and the third time I wore them, at about 14 days past the date of sale, the hem started to unravel. Grrrrrrrrrrr! I am boycotting that stupid store. I will be a naked pregnant woman before I buy that shiz again.

The Old Navy's and Targets here are awful...no selection. We are talking a couple of racks of clothes. Target's stuff is way overpriced here too. A few weeks ago I went to JC Penney and bought a couple of XL shirts that were already in long/baggy tummy styles. I have ONE pair of jeans, ONE pair of capri's...a few skirts that I can't wear to work all week any way...and my favorite, my loungy yoga pants that were on clearance for $14 at Target. I also found Walmart's maternity jeans to be similar to the Motherhood ones (thicker stretchy band thingy, and no better at keeping the pants up though
and they are only $18 (again still more then I spent on jeans pre-pregnancy...)

I can't stand the jeans with the band that goes under your tummy...it digs into me! I want it to either go over my whole tummy or not touch it at all.

Can't wait to wear regular clothes again...

Growing out of clothes is actually a really good sign, it's one of the questions a midwife I know asks to track the growth of the baby, but it seems most just rely on the tape measure. If someone had asked me that when I was expecting my first, who barely grew from 32 weeks to birth, they'd have had a better idea what was going on, still holding up maternity trousers with safety pins is not a good sign!

I gave away all my maternity clothes when we moved, so I'm on a completely new maternity wardrobe, I really hope the trousers last, totally different style from anything I've had before, so who knows. Some tops are starting to get a little short, but I've also got some stuff that looks like I'll never grow into it, but I'll probably appreciate it at the end. I figure if I have to resort to DH's t-shirts at the end, then so be it, I'd be concerned if I were working and needed to look reasonable 5 days a week.

I really wish my Old Navy carried maternity, but they don't.
I'd have to order online, and that scares me because I *have* to try this stuff on since most of it does NOT fit.
:

And someone has a Walmart that still has maternity?!? All of the ones here (and we have a LOT of Super Walmarts) have dropped their maternity sections. I used them for some stuff last pregnancy... the velour lounge pants I wear around the house are soooooo comfy. They eventually got a whole in the butt (in the seam), but I was able to sew that up and you'd never know it was ever there.
They are the most comfortable pants ever (well, bamboo velour would probably be even more comfortable
).

ALL of this! I could have written your post
All my pants fit just fine, it's my ginormous belly that is difficult to cover. Even the ruched shirts I wore until almost the end last time have to be constantly tugged on already
When the Baby Center store was closing I bought two long cap sleeve t-shirts that are synthetic and stretchy and SUPER long and as long as I wear them under stuff I know the bottom of my belly will be covered. I want to make third tri shirts to sell somewhere like Etsy. I think there is just such a strong calling for good, cheap, stretchy, super long, simple cotton shirts for big bellies. I don't get why they are so difficult to find! One of the great mysteries!

I'm still OK on the weekends, but out of 3 pairs of maternity pants I bought for work only one is still comfortable. I'm wearing them about 4 days a week right now. A lot of the maternity tops I bought are now too short too. I'm only 5'2" and have a really short torso, so I don't know how anyone tall can wear this stuff! Luckily, it has warmed up over the last week, so I can wear some of my lighter tops. The flow-y non maternity ones are actually fitting as well as anything else. I'm debating going to get another pair of pants and a couple tops to get me through until I get to quit work at the end of May, but DH will be out of work at the end of the month so I'd really rather save the money.

i don't fit into anything. my first pregnancy i had no maternity tops and two pairs of jeans that i wore until the end. this time i need maternity tops and my jeans that fit me until the end last time are way too small already! i don't get it because is started out at the same pre-preg weight both times. it's frustrating. i did just go to american apparel and buy some leggings and tunics. i figure if i get cute stuff that's long and elastic then maybe i can still wear it afterwards.

: I can't stand any pressure on my tummy, sometimes I have to shove my hand in the band & lift it resulting in an Al Bundy look for me

I found the 2 pair of maternity pants I have at Target but they're tight in the waist & super duper baggy on my butt & legs, not looking forward to trying to find something else that fits. And I hate dresses, ugh.

I only have a few maternity items that still fit me...I am carrying much lower with this pregnancy than the first.... my belly hangs out of everything! One thing i DID find that I dont think I could live without is my bella band! I got it at Target and have worn it almost everyday since. It covers up my belly if i am wearing a shirt that isn't quite long enough and also helps hold up my maternity jeans that just do not stay up!! love it!

Yep, I have outgrown most of my pants already and shirts are starting to feel pretty short unless they are specifically maternity shirts. I was wearing some non-maternity but long t-shirts I got from costco and old navy, but now I can only wear them if I am wearing pants that cover my tummy, which not all of them do. At least DD seems to have pretty much weaned so I can probably get away with dresses if I want to.

my maternity clothes all fit fine, but I think that's because I'm disproportionately large up top. So, anything that fits my boobs is gonna be a size or two too large in the waist. At least all my maternity went from very loose to rather tight now, and the stuff that was tight before barely fits.

I'm carrying twins and very few of my shirts actually cover my belly anymore. And I can't just go up in sizes because I'm pretty petite and it looks completely ridiculous for me to wear a Large or XL when I typically wear a small.

I use the Bella Bnd a lot too. Makes it so much easier!

Big Problem here!

I bought two maternity suit jackets, and now I can't even button them over my chest. This is the first time this happened--breasts got bigger with #1 and #2, but nothing like this!

I refuse to buy new clothes at this point. I am jut gong to have to wear the same two outfits every day to work.
