I know ChaCha is popular around here, but I wasn't good enough for them
I started working for kgb_ less than a month ago, and already got "promoted" to a Quality Agent (doing reviews, etc.) I'm having so much fun with it, learning a lot of nonsense, lol, and its nice to be making some money too. Is anyone else here doing it? Are you liking it?

I couldn't handle not knowing what it was so off to Google I went!
It sounds exactly like ChaCha. Anyone do both? Curious about the differences...

Sorry it took me so long to get back! I have a bad habit of posting and forgetting about it. It is a lot like ChaCha, basically its a text messaging service, people send in questions, I find the answers and send them back. I work from home whenever I want, usually once the kids are all in bed. Its not the best money you'll ever make, but its something, and I actually think its a lot of fun to see what people are asking about, lol.

I tried to do ChaCha, thought I did well on the simulator, but didn't pass so I can tell some differences. First of all, I think that kgb_'s training was much more thorough and well done that ChaCha's. I don't remember what ChaCha paid, but kgb_ pays 5-10 cents per answer, depending on whether you found your own answer or used one of their database answers. I'm averaging $3-5/hr. depending on how busy it is, and how motivated I am. They recently sent out a memo saying they were getting reports of ppl. making anywhere from $2-11/hr. I know with ChaCha you could just sign in any time and take texts. With kgb_ technically you are supposed to schedule yourself ahead of time. However, I find that they are almost always understaffed when I am available (nights) so I don't bother with scheduling now, and just sign myself up for a shift right before I want to start working. Hmm, otherwise I can't think of anything different. Feel free to ask questions if you have them, and I will answer as best I can.

I do, it's been fun so far! I like that I can work when I want to and get a little bit of extra money.

I agree - it is a fun way to make a little extra money.

I just did my first shift, and I think I made a total of $2.50 in 2 hours, but it was fun... I need to get much faster, tho!

I finished Part 1 and Part 2 of the training and just got the e-mail for the simulation. Out of curiosity, how much is everyone averaging?
Not much. During heavy traffic times (evening and weekends) I can make about $2 in an hour, but that's with doing everything else I need to do - and with 4 kids including a 2 year old and a baby, that means I'm always getting up to do something else. I'd probably make more if I could just sit there and work uninterrupted. I've made $80 so far this month just popping on whenever I have a "free" moment. As far as I'm concerned, it's easy money...and a source of entertainment. Some of those questions really crack me up.

bumping this to see if you all are still working for kgb_. I am at the end of the training (about to start part 5 - I hope this is the end, sheesh). It seems like it would be fun, and interesting -- something else to do while I am online so frequently.

Just wondering if you were all still enjoying it, or if it was not worth the time.

I'm still working for kgb, and it's okay. I can make over $3 an hour now during the busy times.

I just started working as an expediter for ChaCha, though, and I have to say I like it better there. The system is way easier than kgb, and there seems to be more traffic. The only thing about ChaCha - and it's a big thing - is that I have no idea how much money I'm going to make because I'm doing the "points" system, so I'm taking a gamble and trying to make as many points as possible and see if it pays at least as much as kgb. If it does, then I'll probably not work much for kgb anymore...just enough so that they don't close my account.

The work at both companies is really easy and entertaining, and it's nice to be able to make some money, although it isn't much, while staying home with the kids.

I just passed the test for KGB, so hopefully I'll get started soon. Lord knows we could use some extra cash and I can only do work that allows me to feed the baby at the same time.
