So I am 37 weeks and my cervix starting feeling achy/sore yesterday. Is this normal? It is pretty constant and I am guessing it is from our baby's head dropping but part of me is still worried. Anyone else experiencing this or know whether or not it is normal?

Thanks!

i have some similar feelings of soreness, not constant though. mainly at night while lying down, and pretty bad when i wake up. i think its just pressure from baby, and i wouldn't be too alarmed by it, but definetly let your care provider know. probably just means baby has dropped, which is a good thing!

I have the same exact thing....it feels as if something is scratching or rubbing my cervix. changing activity or positions laying down helps. I *think* it is normal and just the position of the baby and possibly just what it feels like as our cervix effaces.

Thanks for the responses! I'm glad you guys are experiencing it too! It went away after I posted last night, so I think it must have just been her position on my cervix. How exciting that our babies our moving down!

I have been feeling a lot of twinges/cramping in my cervix, too - I hope that means the baby is getting lower! I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced at my appt on Tuesday...
