ug. my stomach is about as poofy at 5 weeks as it was at 3 months with ds! i'm relatively small in frame and i just wasn't expecting this so soon. i know everyone says it happens faster the second time, but holy cow! i've been wearing big buttondown shirts to hide it so no one asks me how far along i am, and i don't have to embarrassingly say "5 and a half weeks.."<br><br>
anyone else got the baby bump look happening already? is that even normal?

I hear you there! Even my fat pants were too tight today. I did not want to spend $ on preggo work clothes yet, but it looks like I have to go shopping this weekend. I cannot believe that it is possible to get this big this early! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

I'm about six wks and although I'm not showing (or I don't think I am!) I am definitely feeling "fuller" in my lower abdomen and my all jeans are too tight (having to leave them unbuttoned or wear my yoga pants). I'm pretty thin/small framed as well. I'm told it's pretty normal. But it does feel crazy. I don't remember this until I was about 3 months with my son!

I am definitely in the "wow, she needs to lay off the pizza and beer" looking stage already... we were looking at belly pics from last time around and I look like I did at 14-ish weeks with Trevor!! Please tell me that is normal!

First kid, something like my 4th pregnancy...<br><br>
I'm 6 weeks and in maternity. My bloat is so ridiculous that even my fat pants hurt to wear. And I swear today I had two people looking at my belly!

Me too! I got out my maternity stuff today. It's still too big, but my normal pants are mostly too tight. I didn't have to wear different pants until 3-4 months last time. Now I'm like 7 weeks! I don't look pregnant yet really, just bloated...

I went with the maternity pants today. The cords at JCpenney are SOOOO comfy!!!<br><br>
On Sunday, it seemed like everyone was looking at my belly as they walked by me. I was only 4.5 weeks, but I had really started to pooch out that day! I don't know if people were really noticing that I looked bigger, but some may have. I dunno. We're waiting until after we tell the grandparents around 7.5 weeks, and I just don't know if we'll be able to hide it that long from folks at church! This is baby #3, so I'm sure it will be pretty obvious by then. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Yes. My jeans are getting so tight that I have to wear them unbuttoned most of the time.

Do you guys know the rubberband trick? A woman I babysat for on her fourth baby taught it to me-- I was about 16 at the time and boy am I glad I remembered!<br><br>
Slide a rubberband through the hole on your jeans and loop both ends around the button and it should make up for the between pants stage.<br><br>
I'm getting a little worried that I'm also already showing-- I am NOT ready to tell people AND I gave away all of my maternity clothes. (I'm pretty sure that's what got me preggars...)<br><br>
*sigh*

Maternity pants are WAAAAAAY more comfortable than the rubberband trick. I used it the first two pregnancies, and this time I wised up and just skipped it. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

My tummy is a bit bloated, but I am not really feeling that big yet. I tried on some maternity pants today and there is no way that they would even stay up at this point. LOL!!

i still fit into my jeans, but i am def. bloated. i just wear my jeans so low that they don't press on the tummy. i know that showing butt crack while bent over is 'out', but i'm trying like mad to bring it back <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

Ooh, I'm glad you mentioned that trick! I'm not ready to get out maternity pants and have been wearing pants unbuttoned or just buttoned low down. I look bloated, for sure. When I suck in, the poofiness doesn't go anywhere! I really don't want people suspecting for a while yet.<br>
I bought a Bella Band and it's nice, though a little tight by the end of the day. It actually makes me look more pg, though, by rounding out the bloat into a pg shape, which I wanted to avoid!

Hubby keeps telling me I look pregnant (he's convinced it's his twins, and when I told him my grandmother had a twin brother that died in WW2, he was even more convinced!)<br><br>
I just feel FAT!

Will definately have to get into shape during this pregnancy so I can be strong for labor.

I am also trying to decide if I am just bloated or already getting a baby bump. I can't imagine at 5.5 weeks I would feel so big. I also gave away ALL my maternity clothes except for 2 tops that are still pretty cool (I have worn them alot in the last 2 years...LOL) I guess it's time to start looking for more comfy clothes...

I am 8 weeks and today I couldn't fit into my regular big jeans today. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> It seemed to have popped. Is it possible for your uterus to be above your pubic bone this early, it is my third pregnancy? I bought an awesome pair of Thyme maternity jeans at the thrift for $5 today. They just have a small band and feel so good not having a tight band around my waist. I can't believe I am already onto the maternity pants.
