I'm in Seattle, though I almost never go to the East Side-- I wonder if you might check for some more local mamas in the "finding your tribe" forum here on Mothering? There's also an organization here called PEPS that organizes new-parent groups (some just for moms, some for couples, families with older kids too, etc.), putting people together with others in their immediate area. http://www.peps.org/
